How to find your IPSW file (Firmware file) on your computer.
Windows:
The file for windows can be found by going to this folder on your computer. Replace where it says put your username here with your windows profile name on your computer.
To easily get to this folder, copy and past the following into the bar at the top of any windows explorer window and press enter. (Make sure you insert your username first)
C:\Users\**PUT YOUR USERNAME HERE**\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPod Software Updates
Mac:
To find the file on a mac navigate to this folder. Replace where it says put your username here with your mac profile name on your computer.
(PUT YOUR USERNAME HERE)/Library/iTunes/iPod Software Updates/
