I have been tying the trees with stakes straight up & down, I see now why this was/is a mistake, Thank you, really helpful advice.
Any chance that you could do a segment re the excessive rains that we are experiencing, what is the best way to stop plants/trees from getting root rot/damage, I have been adding more mulch, hoping for it to soak up some water. We have had constant rain all Winter, just in the last 2 days 51mls & today rain again, don't want to lose all my fruit trees.

As well I would like to ask about the little bottle you always have to spray the tools. Is it something you make as a solution, or it is being purchased like that. I just now found out how I passed the black dot fungus from one tree to another. From Pittosporum onto mirror bush. Maybe it was not me, but could be.

The little bottle is metholated spirits mixed with a bit of water. Used to disinfect the tools between trees.
