A Welcome Return? - Academy 1/72 Scale Martin PBM-5A Mariner Inbox Review Part 2/2

Greetings all. Recently I did a inbox review of the Academy/Minicraft B-24, but its not the only reissue from Academy in 1/72 Scale. They also reissued the Minicraft PBM-5 Mariner, but is this kit actually good and worthwhile building or is it a bit of a cheap trick?

It sure does, and the B-24 for all its faults seems reasonable given it’s price in my opinion. And many of the older tooled single seat warbirds are also still great even today I think. Thanks for watching😁👍🏻

That was a dream kit when I was a kid, when it was first issued. Yeah, way over a half century ago.

There’s been a handful of 1:72 Mariner Kits over the years, I think the Academy one was new tooled in 2013 under minicraft. I’ve started work on it and so far it’s gone together pretty well. Will hopefully have a build video on it eventually😁

That was when Hasegawa issued it, a long with the Kawanishi Mavis and JNDF PS-1 Shin Meiwa
