Great job with these videos Eric! This is definitely one of the best channels on CZcams for backpacking info. Lots of great tips! Keep up the great work.
You prolly dont give a shit but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times then you can watch pretty much all of the new series on instaflixxer. I've been streaming with my brother these days xD
@Phillip Jaxson Yup, been using instaflixxer for since december myself =)
Our family is getting ready for a week-long backpacking trip this summer and we've found your videos super helpful, organized, and loaded with great tips/hacks--thanks Eric!! Here's one food tip for you & your viewers - wrap already made bacon around a date for a quick fiber/protein snack or appetizer. The bacon/date combo was a hit with our family last summer :) Susan
So glad to hear that Susan! Bacon and dates sounds amazing!
One of my new go to hiking snacks: Walking Tamales
Many flavors to choose from.
It really sucks but General Mills bought both Epic Jerky and Annie's Organic foods..... so be mindful of that while choosing your foods
You have a great channel, love the content and I just subbed. I would love to do a portion of the Arizona trail soon and your information is very helpful.
These videos are so great Eric, Been a subscriber for just over a year now I think, and these last few informative videos have been so great, especially considering the isolation. Would love to see a video on making your own meals when out backpacking. I know you roughly went over it in a video before, but could be cool to have a Eric Hanson Backpacking Cooking video ahah. Love the videos,Great content, keep it up!!!
Hey, so cool that you've been following along, I appreciate the support! That's a great idea. I'll see if I can make it happen one of these days!
🥜 🧈 ❤ , that hug from mom made me laugh so hard
Love your buckskin gulch hike. Do you have written details about the itinerary of the exact trail you followed? Perhaps a map on All trails?
Hey there, thanks for your comment! I have actually written about it over on my blog, you can check it out here: www.erichanson.tv/backpacking-buckskin-gulch-paria-canyon/
Very informative video. Thanks so much 🙏🏼
Glad you liked it!
Great job. Thank you.
Would you please repeat your advice about the box that may or may not need milk? Did you say mckenese? Sorry - I'm from the UK. 😊
Hey! Haha, Mac n' cheese! A staple over here in North America. When you make it at home you usually add a bit of milk or butter to it, but in the backcountry I just use a bit of water from the pasta. Hope that clears it up for you!
@@BackpackingTV Deeeeerer! Sorry. Thank you.
Could one add some milk powder to the dehydrated mac and cheese, I wonder? I've tried just using hot water in the past and not with tasty results. Perhaps knorr quality products work better.
@@trytheoutdoors All good! You could totally go the powdered milk route if you wanted to make it a bit creamier, I reckon that's a good idea!
Thank You Sir.
I do what I can!
Wow my freind
If you like sushi than you know wasabi and soy go together. Wasabi is also good with tuna.
Looove that wasabi
Salty meat...salty nuts 🤪
I guess I'm different..ill hike 15 miles to camp then eat. Maybe one cliff bar on the walk.
do you cooke the mac and cheese in a jet boil?
What about 30days
Expensive, prepackaged, freeze-dried foods. I'm not a fan. Talk about "responsible sourcing" all you want, you're all in on the consumerism train.
I'd rather pack stuff like oats, flour, dried beans & pulses, stock cubes, and forage as I walk. It's a lot lighter and a lot cheaper.
And yet you still buy stuff for camping and phones and computers and internet service.
Ok Kettle
