I would have loved to have gone on this show as a kid but my map identifying skills sucked. PBS was great in the 90's with this, Wishbone, Ghostwriter, Square One, Reading Rainbow and Magic School Bus.

For children, representation matters in media. I grew up watching shows like this in the 90s which featured actors of different colors and backgrounds, and because of this I immediately accepted them as just other people, other humans. It wasn't until later on growing up, when I was exposed to racism against people of color, that I realized how divisive a lot of people are. But I did not think twice about a person's color when I was younger. Things were so much simpler, and less hateful. I feel like we are more divided than ever these days. But, that is why representation matters. As racist adults mock inclusive and diverse casts, I will never forgot being raised on this show and having a unique chance to see people of color as the same as me.
Good episode. Final round was unfair. Not enough time to go to all those locations. kid knew them all and did them as fast as he could and still ran out of time before he even picked up the last marker. A little cheap if you ask me. PBS budget meant they had to keep the trips to a low I guess : P

In the cartoon cops the big boss had his own faults only he wouldn't deal with drugs and he flat out told another bad guy he wouldn't partner with him to sell crystal twist, which made it easier for the cops to catch the one dealing with the drugs in the first place
