1. Chill. "Drag" has always been code for persona. We all get up in the morning and decide to act a certain way. For example, Stephen wakes up and decides to be professional, sincere, but also funny. He could wake up in the morning and decide to skip out on work and drink all day, but he doesn't, and he definitely doesn't show others a side of him like that. He has chosen to be a certain way. That is his chosen persona. That's his "drag" in this metaphor (although drag also means persona, maybe you'll get it as a metaphor).
2. That's not how you use the word sophistry.

It was Matthew's favorite show so they did his favorite scene in a an office and if I'm not mistaken his drag pic was there. I think his drag name /character is Raven.

Ever since I came out, back in the 70's, the most popular expressions that have moved from the drag underground into the mainstream are still with us. From "Oh no she didn't" to "I know that's right" to "Miss Thing" and "Tea", they all came for the street walkers of the South. Survival in those tough condition brings a connection between the drags and the hookers that allows these expressions to come bubbling up into the mainstream. Fascinating.
To be even more interesting, Khloe appeared as a judge in Rupaul's Drag Race and she watches it too.

TraumaER I would have never chosen to go to a drag show. However, I was at a block party in the city and walked by the dark lady. As you can imagine, they had a live drag show for free outside. If you can get over your own insecurities and watch it as entertainment, it really is fun! They are born entertainers. Also, someone through a drink at a performer doing Adele and the mc stopped the show and sicked the crowd on whoever threw the drink. It was awesome!
I agree! They're going to miss out on a lot of great people. I love drag shows. They dress up and have fun and I love to support people who genuinely have fun and enjoy themselves
