#Xiaomi #Mi9 #Mi9T - Věda a technologie
A quick note, the sensor is actually the Sony IMX 582, not the IMX 586. We've updated this on our website.
Ok
😜
IMX582 = IMX586. The Snapdragon 730 doesn't support 4k 60fps recording, so they've renamed it. There are no other differences.
@@lukefroberto and I also believe that imx582 can't shoot 1080p 960FPS video...
@@mariohudincec1537 could also be a part of the chipset as well, but yes, you are correct. Android authority have buggered that up.
The Mi 9T can only do 120fps slow motion at 1080p. 240fps and 960fps are only available at 720p. It's not obvious on my Mi 9T as you tap the frame rate on top of the view finder to change frame rate, but if you tap the setting after picking a frame rate, only 120fps gives you the 1080p option, 240fps and 960fps will lock the resolution down to 720p.
Mi launcer on the play store isn't developed by xiaomi , it's just a third-party app , poco launcher is the launcher made by xiaomi .
It's amazing btw, I use it on my s7 and it makes it feel much faster
What the hell this guy is saying!!
This headphone jack is one of the best out there..it has certified Hi-Fi DAC and it sounds just superb...may be he is using some 5$ headphone lol🤣🤣😂😂
Yeh using k20
I think he Haven't turned on the HI-FI dac option in headphone jack settings
I think he might be talking about the actual headphone jack, not the audio quality
@@domis95 Headphone jack is universal... what's so good or bad about that other than audio quality?
@@sovanpaul4459 not denying the fact that he could have talked about the actual audio quality, I have had some devices where the headphone jack would barely fit into the socket, on others it hardly would stay in without falling out - I mean its a possibility
Well it's a budget phone.
How did you judge 3.5 mm headphone jack is a poor quality one? Any test results or any final conclusions with trials? Gsmarena or notebookcheck are both doing detailed tests and both reviewed this phone , they both told sound is quite good from 3.5 mm jack. Please when you make reviews don't do them with only some fancy words and cool shots of the phone from different angles
Also main camera is IMX582 , not 586.
Poor review.
I think he didn't know it's high resolution certified. This is a joke of a review
Headphone quality is poor , he is right, i am finding it quite low , but they will update and fix it soon , because they already provided fix for k20 pro
@@zafirhossain5017 just change your region to USA, India, or any Non EU country and the volume will be very high
@Brain Rapist I don't either. But I have a few years before his age. So, how do you do it?
Screen-to-body ratio is 91.9% as well, not 86.1%.
Mi 9T just being my daily driver and my gaming phone.
I'm so satisfied.
me too I have it and I love this phone!
Yep it's very good never had a problem with it
Very interesting it has a very good headphone jack and a good speaker I had a problem with the aluminum .
What service?
@Just Bro no mi 9t pro coming in 2 weeks (same as k20pro) so don't buy mi 9t it's not same. Here is proof czcams.com/video/iN-h4UJ95Dc/video.html
a new smartphone comes out..
smartphone reviewers: "for me this is the best/this is my favorite _______ smartphone of all time.."
@@arthurcheng5104 hahaha i guess you are also confused.. its the same line all over again with new smartphones coming out. does it have to be new to be their favorite "all time.."
@@timothyraemiranda7174 Maybe you should read Arthur's comment again. New = Improvement. Therefore they change their favorites.
@@timothyraemiranda7174 About time someone else realizes it.. You're right, bits the same old stuff year after year and month after month now.. Then comes the camera comparisons lol.. Nothing's really different about these phones at all.. There's too much being released at one time..
You must not watch a lot of phone reviews. Not all new phones are good and the ones that are, usually aren't worth the price tag. It's RARE that a company releases a mobile device that encompasses both of these in to one package. Waited 2+ years to upgrade my Snap Dragon 821 powered device and with OnePlus nearing flagship price territory this was a no brainer. Received my K20 Pro 2 weeks ago and i couldn't be happier. $380 for SD855-8gb RAM, 128gb storage, 6.4 AMOLED no notch display is unheard of. Thank you Xiaomi!!
they should say, "so far" instead of "all time" 😂
I have been using a redmi k20/mi9t for a month now, coming from an pixel xl which i used for 2 years. I would say the snapdragon 730 is underrated cuz everything feels butter smooth, the cameras are way better then i expected and also gaming doesn't seem bad either the battery life is just breath taking best battery life i ever had, and i don't miss stock Android even a little bit. Miui is not perfect but with a few tweaks here and there can totally change the experience. No regrets for me. IN LOVE WITH MY K20.

dude, i'm so happy you got a gig with android authority!
Hows the quality of the headphone jack?
Great job and very interesting 👍
You give alot more information than most CZcamsrs. Thank you.
Is the display Super AMOLED HDR or only AMOLED HDR? And is the display of Mi 9 identical to the Mi 9 Pro's one?
Why you in a dark background though. It feels like you're telling a ghost story. 😂

It is horrifying he plays Minecraft on a flagship SOC
Everybody wants dark mode

Very interesting.
I think mi9t is a value for money device. With good features and specifications.
Very very good xiaomi.
What does the mi UI lack compared to one UI from Samsung? Hope u answer!
Will the global version work in the US? Xiaomi phones tend to lack many 4g bands.
Can someone tell me what exactly global version means? Also how do i know i am buying the right one?
great review, Ryan
How is the headphone jack poor quality? Do you mean the DAC?
I think its not the 586 Sensor but the 582 but i mean still 48 mp
The only difference between imx 586 and 582 is that 586 can record 4k at 60fps and 582 can record 4k at 30fps
Megapixels don't matter. Google pixel and iPhone Xs have 12 mp
Sadly the Fingerprint Sensor Just doesnt Work :( thats the only No-Go dir me IT works some days and some other Not at all. Total Hit or miss
@@loktron90 It does work on Mi 9t
@@loktron90 for me personally it didnt go that well at the start, but improved over time and now is really good actually
Does it work in Canada with OTA?
What do you think now prices have dropped and the LG G7 ThinQ
is a similar price. Which would you get for photos and video?
Bro ,no disrespect but are u freaking out of ur mind. This phone's headphone jack is high res certified and u say it is of poor quality. Once a phone is high res certified it can't be of poor standard as it has to fulfill those necessary parameters to achieve that certification that is not present in some of the high end phones. It's advisable u use some decent earphones
Wait so even though this runs full android there is no Google assistant built in? Is there any way to get it to work on the 9t?
I think he meant that there's no Google Assistant button, because even my 2017 redmi 4x has it
Edit: definitely seems to be the case, the Mi 9 has it and the Mi 9T doesn't
Is there a fix yet for the android 10 update? The update was causing some battery issues.
Tq, u made my decision on buying this phone more concrete. At the beginning, im considering between A70 & mi9t, but now, im convinced
But what carrier can you use it with??
Hey Android Authority, does this phone support 4G LTE AT&T bands??
Need help on deciding
Currently using mi8 and thinking about changing to mi9t
But I'm scared that the camera quality is not as good
Is it a good idea to switch to the mi9t for the battery/screen

@@kalialie How's the audio quality in the headphones? Good bass??
And is the camera good in low light??

Maybe comparision Xiaomi Mi9T vs Mi9T Pro?
If you'd like an app drawer, you could try POCO Launcher which was made by Xiaomi themselves.
That's what I'm using.
I actually think audio is a strength .. the quality of the speaker is amazing

No gonna happen
The Mi 9T 128/6 variant is only Php17990 (~$350) in the Philippines. It's surely a great deal.
great vid ryan!
Does it supports 4k video playing
u can buy k20 pro for same price ???
Just picked up the 128gbs version from the Xiaomi Retail Store on AliExpress for £250. Nothing is going to beat the Mi 9T at that price.
Is the front cam of mi9t okay? I noticed that with xiamoi the quality of the front cam seems to be very sharp, resulting to pores, and other facial blemishes to be zoomed in or easily spotted and it bothers me a lot
hah, then why take selfies in the first place 😂.
If it really bothers you, you can always turn on beauty mode (which has multiple levels of artificialness).
Does it have nfc?
Headphone jack has a high quality certification and the speaker is extremely loud, maybe go max volume next time
Loudness and quality is 2 different things
Can confirm, it's EXTREMELY loud. Maybe hits the uncomfortable level, but nothing lowering the volume can't solve
High quality certification based on what?

You can change it to gestures
Watching on my mi 9t love this phone
Nice review! But isn't the main camera a 582 instead of the 586?
You are right though but you can barely tell a difference when taking photos.
Nice review but before u review.. u should atlest study first
1. Mi9T using IMX582 Not IMX586
2. The headphones port is certificate by High res Audio how come u say it the worst??!!
The headphone port has massive crosstalk. When comparing my Mi9T to my LG V20, the LG is better because it has a more accurate soundstage rendering. Whilst the Xiaomi Mi9T has similar clarity to the LG V20, the massive stereo crosstalk ruins the soundstaging, making it hard to pick apart left and right channels. It's a software problem that could be easily fixed by not forcing the mixing
Finally I've been waiting for this😍
When are you guys going to review the Xperia 1?
is the headphone jack really bad? because I still use wired headphones frequently
No lmao, it has a really powerful dac, this guy just called it bad without any evidence or explanation.
Read gsmarena or notebookcheck's detailed review
It is not a 586 sensor ! Several CZcams reviewers keep claiming that the sensor is the same as the K20 Pro.. its not true
it doesn’t really matter that much. the only difference between the IMX586 and the IMX582 is that the former records 4K up to 60fps, and the latter up to 30 fps.
there’s no reason for xiaomi to invest more in using the IMX586 in this phone when the chipset doesn’t even support 4K at 60 fps
is it worth to pay more for mi9t pro/k20 pro or the diffrence is not worth money

I think it didn't support ur headphones or earphones as xiaomi phones tends to have 3.5mm jack as good as flagships i dont know whats wrong in ur case
Exactly and it's high res certified. And here some fool is saying it's of poor quality
You have to get your ears fixed
The speakers is almost as good as iPad's, just not as loud and not stereo
This IS a flagship in every aspect, not a mid-range phone!!!!
Mi 9T is a Mid-Range. Redmi K20 Pro is the flagship.
None are flagships none have all flagship features they are high end mid rangers at most.
k20 pro is a flagship killer i think Xiaomi has done Oneplus' job with this phone .
It's basically the same as k20 pro and 220000 antututu pts is higher for example than last yr kirin 970. .. It's a real flagship
@@111ramjaane it's not a flagship unless it's Xiaomi's too of the line phone, meaning the K20 Pro/Mi 9 are.

Watching on my Carbon Black Mi 9T! I've added CPL launcher, Pixel Pie icon pack, and KMOD camera app. It takes a little hit on battery life (I would estimate 3 to 5 percent), but it feels and takes photos almost as good as my Pixel 2 (running Q beta 5). And it is just as quick and even smoother than the Pixel. Really no regrets that I didn't pop the extra $200 for the Pro version. No one has made mention of this in the videos that I have seen, but the Full Screen Mode gesture navigation is way better than Google's, although far from great.
What is KMOD camera app ? Is a gcam port ? Any links ?
I don't get why people still want IR blasters, can't you just use your TV remote? Or can you do more with it? Because if not, I don't see much use for it.
The only use i had with it was changing channels on tv's at random places like hotel, hospital etc...
just bought one in 2021, for €200. can't wait to get it.
I have to say that the audio port isn't as bad as you described it in this video. It's not the best but it's decent. Toggle the HI-Fi audio in the settings and yeah, problem solved. I mean, also, at least it's... there. And we know that a lot of people still prefer a phone with a headphone jack. And as for the loudspeaker, it isn't bad either. It's mono but its loudness and quality is so much better than the Pocofone F1's.
Fav mid-range smartphone of all time or current time? 🤔
Current time. It will be ancient in 1 year when it comes to tech.
camera, and speaker wise, which is better, mi 9 se or mi 9t?
idk but the battery capacity is a 25% difference, the Mi 9T with 4000Mah and Mi 9 SE with 3070Mah. That will surely make some different results.
Isn't this Redmi k20 pro?
@1:54 Not, double the price, bro but probably €100 more if you compare it to the next competitor, the Oppo Reno, in almost apples-to-apples comparision.
Hi Ryan , been following you since your failtech days and I am a big fan of yours . I just feel it would have been better on elaborating why you said the audio quality from the headphone Jack was bad , you are the first reviewer to say this and I also personally own a mi 9T , the sound quality is good but is even better when you find the right settings for your needs in the audio settings menu in additional settings and tweak it to your liking. Also Xiaomi claims the phone supports hi Res audio through the headphone can you test this claim as well and update us if possible. Thank you .
Xiaomi Mi 9T + case looks like a Poco F1 (which is funny because the pro version not available outside China/India basically is the successor)
Nothing is perfect boy....If someone, some company can make a perfect phone then we should stop making smartphones. Anyways, good video. Keep it up and we will be watching.
The horsepower of this processor is quite similar to Kirin 970. It scores 200k+ in Antutu.
