So I have a list of job files which I don’t want users to be able to mess about with.. delete or rename etc. but I want them to have full access to everything in the job folder.. is this possible? :)
I watched again but is not what I need. I have a group of AD users that has access to a sharepoint folder. I need to cut access to that folder to one of the members of that group. I can't remove the user from that group. There is no "deny acces" in permissions
I found that if you have a share link created for that folder, it breaks the restriction for some users. After removing the share link, everything works as expected.

If you don't want to reinstate the access to a group of people, can you also do it individually by entering the person's email address?
Yes this can be done by granting explicit access to a Site. You would select the user individually versus adding them into a group. Hope this helps!

Can you break inheritance to a subfolder? In your example, is Documents the parent document library?
Yes you can. You can break inheritance right down to a file level although it's not recommended
