- Taco Bell has released their New Chipotle Cheddar Chalupa! Featuring Cheddar Cheese, Chipotle Sauce, Seasoned Beef, Lettuce and Tomato... this item sounds promising. Unfortunately things took a turn for the worse in today's review.

tac0bell will never ever be the same because of the trash ass menu they have now since that new ceo took over. Shredded chicken was the backbone of tacobell and they chose money over taste. I hope tacobell goes broke. RIP XXL Stuffed burrito we will see you again in the fast food afterlife amigo.
When ReviewBrah identified the Chipotle Cheddar Chalupa as a menu item that wasn't bad, but that simply failed to live up to its own potential, I felt judged for all of my personal failings.

This is distressing.
As a former Taco Bell employee, I used to get in trouble with my bosses for putting "too much beef" on the tacos. I said I won't put on so little that, if I got it, I'd be upset by, and they stopped having me prepare food. The stores themselves get punished for going through too much beef, it's upper upper management pinching pennies so tight nothing good can escape between.
True
i was a closing manager for 5 years, they be the stingiest on any of the proteins, ive had far to many complaints from customers about to little meat and or workers not spreading the meat well enough in a burrito leaving half of the product without meat. its pitiful the amount of meat management tells u to use, one small scoop, at one point i had learned the scoop we were using was modified to hold less, the teeth were smooshed in abit cuz so many ppl werent tapping the scoop device to equalize the meat , often being 10-15 pounds over daily for beef thankfully. taco bell be one of worst places to go for food, its a clear rip off, i refuse to ever eat there. and ill tell anyone else the same. we went through so many general managers, around 4-5 in 5 years time.
Was there the ability for the customer to order "double meat"?

Yeah Taco Bell really sucks, I don’t really ever buy their food anymore but when I did the food was almost room temperature barely warm, food looked sloppy and they would hardly put any meat on their items.
@@BlackHole171 Yeah I mean 90% of the time you get pathetic amounts of meat, the food is always soggy and room temperature; and they maybe get your order right like half the time, not to mention half the times Ive been there the employees are just high af and dont even answer the drive through speaker and when they do they dont want to make the food so they just go “we dont got that.”
You’re gross for eating their roach beef. The roaches love crawling around on that stuff
Yeah the employees just don’t care either, I had one time where they got the same order wrong 3 times in a row. Now that I think of it, I can’t remember a single time where something wasn’t messed up with my order. I'm more upset at the fact that taco bell keeps releasing "new" items that are literally things that you could have already ordered.
That’s kind of their thing
As someone who works at TacoBell, I feel the same way. It's been especially upsetting since TB started gradually removing items, even fan favorites, for whatever weird goals they've set for themselves. The Grillers? The Mexican Pizza? The Nachos Supreme?? And most of the dollar menu is also gone by now! I've been working at TB for almost 6 years and they've gradually taken the dollar menu away the entire time. I haven't seen enough people making a fuss about it, when I feel like people probably should be. Fast Food is supposed to be fast and affordable, and TB is following the trend of getting rid of the affordable aspect. People should be able to get their $1 Triple Layer Nachos, Mini Chicken Quesadilla, Mini Beef Quesadilla, Beefy Frito Burrito, and I'm sure I'm forgetting a few items we use to have. A handful of our regulars stopped coming after we stopped having those items, and sure we brought in a burrito to replace the Beefy Frito Burrito, but now that burrito is gone too!
Yeah but unless you order something explicitly on the menu in writing then the employees will get it wrong
They only have like 7 ingredients. They just change the shape every so often and call it something else. 😆

Taco Bell has REALLY gone down hill since all the covid stuff. Really, every fast food chain has been terrible in my experience. Feels bad.
all of them have become terrible...even big restaurants have gotten terrible...its really bad out there
I am cooking at home more and more and going to this one local farmhouse grocery store with fresh stuff..so far no upset stomach from the food or anything there...so I am just trying not to go out anymore...I completely stopped fast food and restaurants except a few local ones like this family owned smokehouse and pancake house...I support them thru this but everything else all the corporate places I have boycotted...
ya its just the smokehouse, pancake house, and the small farmhouse I get my food and cook all the rest of the meals...I've made beef stew and chili and a turkey even to eat for days too...saves a lot
times are changing man
Facts, i've been making more tacos at home. infinitely taste better and more meat which wins.
You can use hella lean beef and add a bit of msg and tomato paste and you already add a ton of flavor, throw some packet taco seasoning(or make yo own).
Also lots of grocery stores have options for pre-made taco shells. They even have nacho cheese shells like taco bell does. (Which baking them in the oven taste miles better than the shells at taco bell)
And maybe it's just personal but i'd rather have tomatoes and lettuce in my taco that have a bit more flavoring, even if it's just lightly salted or lime zest and a splash of lime. So much more layers of flavor and more food while still being healthier.
Been loving Taco Bell more than ever
And the truly sad part is mainstream fast food chains made bank that whole time. My suspicion is they are running skeleton crews ragged because it’s cheaper and then just complaining no one wants to work.

I used to work at Taco Bell, albeit that was almost 20 years ago, but when I worked there, they used a certain long kind of scoop to put the beef on. When you get in a hurry (and we were ALWAYS in a hurry), you're basically just slinging the beef on. It's easy to accidentally put way less beef on than you should if you're not paying attention. It probably wouldn't be so bad if they didn't emphasize speed over everything, including quality. Of course they would never SAY "at the expense of quality," but that's what would happen.
I remember that. I worked there in 2000 when I was in high school.

@@elgatochurro hah yeah, we we "supposed" to do that too.
@@ethervagabond lol
They did it for quality control here
They still emphasize speed over anything. 3 mins and 30 seconds or less. The reason they weighed ur food where you are probably wasn’t for quality control. It was probably getting ready for core, food cost was high, or just the way the managers trained. Maybe they did take all the policies to heart. 🤣we’re supposed to weigh at least one item after every order but when you get hit with 2 party packs in the same order and the next cars have 15 items or more and the location you work at only has 2 on the line and 1 in drive and 1 doing prep and going to the window it’s pretty difficult to weigh the first item of every order and maintain our goal of 3 mins and 30 seconds. 🤣I have to say I’m the second fastest at my location(the fastest being our rgm), sometimes you start to run out of beef and don’t feel like taking an extra 15 seconds to move the pan dats running out and get a new pan of beef from the heating cabinet and placing it there til after all the orders r gone.

I discovered your channel after watching Elvis the Alien's video (and then his apology video). I'm glad I did. You're great!
One issue I have with Taco Bell is their inconsistency in how their food is prepared. Depending upon the time of day, they will sometimes give you generous portions of food--and other times, they are severely lacking.
I get the spicy potato tacos, but I replace the chipotle sauce with nacho cheese sauce. It's great. But sometimes they will have too few potatoes and/or too much lettuce. I wonder if it's an issue of the person preparing it incorrectly.
Anyway, you're a breath of fresh air. Keep up everything you're doing (as if you need my encouragement)!

The thumbnail part!!! Love every second. Never change my dude!
I have noticed a substantial reduction in quality from all fast food chains this year.
I’ll just stick to chipotle or Jade II
Yeah because everyone quit. Now there is just one guy usually working at these places and people still complain.

I bought the crunch wrap yesterday. It was lacking in beef and nacho cheese. I tweeted them a picture of what i got, side by side, with a picture of what the wrap looks like on their website. So far, no reply.
Taco Bell has really gone bad in the last couple of years, it all started whenever they changed their logo - they got rid of all the good menu items, keep making crappy new items to replace them, and the price is going up - I think it's just all yum! brands in general. Sad... taco bell used to be THE place to go to.
They just got rid of the dollar menu and made it the 1,2,5 thing like at McDonald’s. Sad to see it but they at least held that out for so long
You can say that for every fast food places back then
Remember when you could go into taco bell and get a chili cheese burrito, a mexican pizza, a spicy chicken burrito (the shredded chicken), and a couple of volcano tacos? (the original ones with the original lava sauce..best sauce they ever had). Those were the days!
All fast food went bad after 1989, never recovered.
Last couple of years? I'm pushing 60. Taco Bell started going to shit a couple of decades ago. Every thing I ever liked is gone from the menu. Adios beef Meximelts. They can fake it with something else if they add something to it. It only costs about $23 for 4 of them. Nachos Mucho Grande? They never heard of it. They don't even put olives on the enchiritos anymore. Everything comes on these phoney baloney chalupa tortillas that are just a freaking flatbread on steroids. They suck. I won't set foot in another Taco Hell. Thank Dog for Taco Bueno.
The prices at Taco Bell have doubled in a very short time. Some of the combo meals are over $10 now and they still stiff you on beef. Just a sad joke now.
Damn, where I live the $5 box is still going strong.
@@hweheheh same here
Great review man, grey suit looking sharp!
That bag toss😂 got my attention, i thought whoa..uhoh gonna be trouble.
The trick is to get no lettuce or tomato. Without those fillings, most of the time the crew feels bad and they'll throw more meat in there for you. I used to work at Taco Bell and it's only one scoop on a normal item. I'm telling you. Don't get the veggies if you want more meat.
Also. The Chipotle sauce is legit the best part. Tip: Order a side of Chipotle and use it for everything. It's freaking amazing. They've had that since they had the grillers.
You dont have to deal with the crappy portion sizes they try to give you. There's ways around it, I promise lol
thats what we gamers call a workaround ,ill take it
Bless you.
Just ask for double beef
Or maybe just don’t get Taco Bell
Can't do this in fast food chains but this is why you ask an employee what they love. Ask a waiter sometimes and you will get good insight on the menu items. All employees know what is dank or not so consulting them honestly is the best advice if you are trying someplace new. Employees can make dank fast food, for themselves.
The throw of the bag was priceless 🤣 loved it!
The painting in the background on this one is beautiful.
Here in Colorado, we've always had a cheese shortage apparently.
Almost every fast food chain recently has just been having massive drops in quality. It's truly a national tragedy, considering the impact fast food has had on the US.
i dont eat fast food very often but i can see your point, they must be skimping on quality to keep the prices close to the same
I certainly wouldn't consider it a "national tragedy" by any means.
With this "outbreak" the vast majority can overcome with their own immunities, the lack of people actually willing to work, and the absurd ideology that a first-time job has a wage of over $15….. that's problematic. The food quality and service from staff will be apparently lacking because of it.
National tragedy.... 😂
@RobertRagnarsson Oh! Canada....I think we're heading down the wrong path in the U.S. but I have genuine sympathy and concern for my brothers up north. You guys are lost because of these leftist clowns.
Fast food quality and service should be the last thing on our minds! Anyhoo, thanks for the shout out!
@@tempestfury8324 Fast food chains can afford paying their workers better. People don't want to work for very little and get yelled at by customers all day. When I got to Culver's, Chick Fil A, etc I get better quality food and better service. Do I pay more? Yes, but it's worth it.
@@SuperAngryWalrus : Are you a child? Or just think like one? "Fast food chains can afford paying their workers better"? Don't you understand basic economics? They will simply raise prices by doing so. And if you think a first time job is worth $15+, you've got a screw loose. No experience, no work ethic..and oh, they can't handle being yelled at by a rude customer?
What crazy la-la land are you from? Oh... that's right, you're either a child or simply think like one.
I haven’t been impressed with taco bell for a long time, still upset over the fact that they took the Mexican pizza off the menu
Its coming back like in april/may of 2022
I haven’t been back since they got rid of the Mexican pizza. Fuck Taco Bell. They need new leadership.
I miss the doubledilla with nachos. It actually had filling unlike their regular quesadillas.
rumor has it that the pizza might return, but don't expect too much from that
Its coming back!
im not subscribed, i watch your videos maybe 6 times a year but when i do i enjoy them and your personality makes me smile
Reminds me of the MadTV taco bell sketch.
“And what do you think a chalupa is?”
“I don’t know, a burrito or something-“
*”A chalupa is a small boat!”*
Me and my brother used to get taco bell roughly once a week. We gave up at the start of December and have started going anywhere else instead.
Not getting enough meat or cheese is frustrating, but that's not even my biggest gripe. Menu items getting made wrong, or custom items getting outright ignored, that's our local branch's specialty. And not just "sometimes", we've had to get our order fixed almost every single time for the last year. A whole year of black bean tacos having beef on them, a whole year of chalupas with no lettuce being 90% lettuce, a whole year of "my cravings box is missing the main entree".
It's just so incredibly frustrating when most fast food places almost never get something wrong, and taco bell almost always gets something wrong.
I ordered a steak chalupa once, it was one of those craving boxes, and I got a ground beef one instead. And even then, the ground beef one had hardly any beef. It took them a while to replace it, so I had to sit there while my other two menu items got cold. I didn't have the luxury of just eating there since I had to get a few things home.
I dunno.... almost every single time I go to McDonald's or KFC they get something wrong too. It's been so much worse since the pandemic. It's like the workers care even less. And I understand it, but customers are paying for certain items made correctly. Either do your job right or find another one.
That's the 'I want $15 an hour for a job that was never meant to make a living off of' people to thank. Everyone wants more money for crap job, but put crap effort into what they are being paid to do.🤷
That's why I stopped going. At least 50% of the time, they got my order wrong and I wouldn't notice until I got home (yeah yeah, a smart person would have checked the bag before leaving) so I was always trying to salvage whatever part wasn't ruined by cheese or sour cream.
@@thatbobusguy coooooool but unfortunately people are having too make a living off these jobs.
Stopped at Taco Bell last week for the first time in about a year or so. I got a assortment of items from hard and soft shell tacos, 5 layer burrito, nachos, and a crunch wrap supreme. It was all junk! It all looked like your Chalupa, with almost no beef and tasted terrible too. I went to feed it to my dogs but thought better of it as it wasn't even that good for them.
@Turkey Jeff if I give my dogs one fry I think they’re fine
Truly corporate and mankind's own greed is deplorable. Thank you for the review.
The way you threw that bag after you took it out and the look you gave lmao, your cool always in my book friend, have a blessed week lmao. 😉😇😇
Taco Bell's quality has been dropping like a stone, while prices have gone up a lot around where I live. $2 for a bean burrito the size of a sharpie pen doesn't sit the right way. Every time I ask for any item to be removed or added, they forget. Meanwhile, I live in an area with Del Taco, where it's all way cheaper, and for some reason they give you better portions and can actually make the changes you ask for. Makes me sad because I used to love Taco Bell so much.
EDIT: To clarify, they could have either kept the prices, and lacked quality, or upped prices and kept quality. They did neither. What's the point of them anymore? Seems like many other chains understand this basic premise.
Yeah, I LOVE Del Taco but unfortunately they aren't very common around here compared to Taco Bell. There is only one Del Taco within an hour of our house and there are about 10 Taco Bells in the same area. I hope Del Taco does some growing.
I wish Del Taco still had the Asada Tacos.
Taco Bell Doesn't Care
They want to make a buck on workers that they don't pay enough and jack up the prices.
Del taco is hard to eat. My mom brought me a free del taco for a taco Tuesday once and I could barely finish it, no hate if you think they're better but I can't stand it personally 🤢
i feel like im lucky, the taco bell near me usually has respectable portions. maybe the fact that i only eat their vegetarian stuff could be part of it, idk. and they always makes my gf's tacos without sour cream like she orders, so it is possible to have one not completely suck i guess!
They’ll charge you for double beef and you will get what a normal taco should be.
Oh, gosh. I could totally see them doing this. No joke.
They have a tool to measure potions. It is a small tool but hey it is what it is
@@Jack-zj1ug
and yet they don't appear to use it. I usually get a chicken quesadilla, with extra meat and cheese, and several times I have received it with NO chicken.
@@McBehrer that’s an anecdote. If you didn’t receive chicken, tell the restaurant.
Once I asked for a cheeseburger with only cheese at McDonalds and only got buns with a slice of cheese. It happens
@@Jack-zj1ug
yeah, of course it's an anecdote. That doesn't make what I said false
My local quickymart has these mini-tacos. They're like 2.5"x1.5". I love them because it's an entire Tacobell full-size taco worth of beef, without the rest of the fluff!
When he contemptuously tossed the bag....SUBSCRIBED!!!
I have experienced this with Taco Bell on numerous occasions through the years. My chief complaints are the actual size of the items and the tragically small amount of ground beef and cheese that they put in the items. I have to believe that the TV ads employ unknown actors who are very small in stature. So when they hold an item, it looks really impressive. But when you see it in person, the item is actually a lot smaller. Truly disappointing!
Advertisement food isn't even food
Could be a local thing. My Taco Bell loads it up

@@dazykuri you should’ve learned your lesson with the first “occasion” with your experience.
What's funny is the beef is actually only like 70% realm beef too. They add Cornstarch to fluff it up.
Reviewbrah has been having ZERO mercy on these fast food chains lately and I’m all for it
I feel so lucky that i never have this issue with my Taco Bell. They're almost always spot on... a true rare gem.
Damn I can’t even imagine. Haven’t gone to a Taco Bell around me in 10 years because all they serve is lettuce and tomato in a different shell
