I actually really liked that kid. He’s initially portrayed as kind of a D-bag, but the more John talks to him, he seemed pretty sincere and just as lost as everyone else.
Fingers crossed on a season 3. Absolutely love this show.
Forreal though. Man was hurting so bad and he was just trying to let go and have fun to counteract that pain. Hope he's doing alright today
My interpretation of this scene:
Most people you interact with are wearing this fake mask given to them by their friends/social media. We are blessed to see someone who clearly can't keep his mask believable. So John slowly gives him a space to not wear the mask. The very end you see him take it off completely.
How many people walk around like Chris thinking they are doing a convincing job acting, when the truth is to big to contain underneath.
This show is a treasure. I can't wait for season 3
It's cool to learn more about the process for making the show. I thought he did basically everything, but it makes more sense that there's a team involved, haha.
This is so awesome I was worried he was gonna be like Nathan Fielder and be very secretive about the BTS/production process. Makes so much sense that they have 2nd team shooters though, other wise how the hell would you get all that footage I guess lol

@@joshryan9560 I think it’s largely for comedic effect, I don’t think the show would be quite as endearing and funny had he sounded like he does here. At the end of the day, it’s a comedy show.

That energy drink accidental advertising was a bit suss to me. Binned the programme off after that episode. Enjoyed it up until then.
i don't think there was any sort of product placement involved there, just john making the most of an interesting opportunity. and with the way the guy's house was set up any video in there would end up being a bang energy commercial.
wild suggestion: skip the episode if it bothers you that much instead of grandstanding and writing a quitting essay
