"if you got distracted a lot while watching this video, if you had to rewind a lot because you just weren't able to focus, then maybe you have actually the inattentive type of adhd." thank you for calling me out

Greetings from Brazil Arije! It would be great if you could speak about twice exceptional people, like having adhd and giftedness and how it can mask adhd, and how it can be tricky to differ giftedness and adhd sometimes. Thanks for the content of your videos.

Thanks a million for this test!
It's really helpful and the video made me feel calm about the possibility of me having ADHD. I've been researching on this for months now, and I think this was some of the best and most clear form of educational content regarding ADHD symptoms.
    Hope everyone gets help!

Overlooked when I was younger? Bro I think every single teacher and adult around me was just straight BLIND yk how many reports of “very smart but talks too much and won’t stay in seat” I got on my report cards from EVERY teacher and how many times I got screamed at over it by my parents talking about “just stop talking and getting distracted” “just finish your homework and we won’t be punishing you all the time” like if it’s happening all the time isn’t that not a flag??? And it’s not like I didn’t know the info or do my work in class oh and don’t even ask how many times I was literally sat at a desk BY MYSELF bc I was “a distraction for others” half of elementary I sat alone at a table in the back or with other “distracting students” and when I brought up how I probably have adhd recently my dad was like “haha no you don’t I have add and I couldn’t do well in school you get good grades you can’t have it” AS IF HE DIDNT TRAUMATIZE ME IF I DIDNT GET GOOD GRADES AND AS IF ITS NOT SUPER GENETIC??? Anyway makes me ungodly angry bc I went through so much unnecessary scolding and mistreat pimento by adults and teachers that were supposed to help me grow. Like I’ve always said school wasn’t bad bc the kids were mean but because the adults were.

      @trifoliumincarnatum5659 Před rokem +1

Also I 100% didn’t even get good grades I got like average grades just bc I could get by with passing tests and memorizing stuff last minute like on the rare occasion when my dad found out how many missing assignments I had he’d loose his mind at me and try to make me catch up but for the most part I hid my grades from him bc most of the semester I’d have like Ds and Cs but only the final grade at the end of the semester mattered so I’d somehow magically get them to Bs and As and if I was unlucky I’d have a C but I fully failed one class and tbh idk why I signed up for it, it was an AP and in my least favorite subject so I ended up not turning a single assignment in and sleeping through every class and I even fell asleep taking the AP test for it (which surprised even me so I ran out of time in the end 💀) point is idk where my father is living but clearly it’s in delusion

Many don’t understand all that is behind adhd especially older people who have adhd. They stick to what they know and tend not to allow other options. It’s not ur fault but it’s also not ur parents fault in sense. They just need to be educated on what all encompasses adhd. Mental illnesses are hard to understand tbh. I have many and it’s 100% hard to wrap your head around.

These are the 'male' criterion for ADHD... the female on is different in some aspects, and gets misdiagnosed as something else.
1 thing being, that women/girls tend not to bounce off the walls, but turn that energy inwards against themselves.

I am fidgeting with my wedding ring all the time even though I would probable not be diagnosed with this typ of ADHD. How did this go for you?
Remember that this ADHD test is not a substitute for a professional diagnosis, but it can serve as a good indicator for those who suspect they may have ADHD.

I always click may pens, it gets on peoples nerves, I hate sitting and standing in one place, gets very "painful" When I see a line, I'm going to the shortest one. These are the ones, I remember, as I was distracted for most of it, but I don't tend to rewind, unless I didn't hear a thing, as I was paying attention to something else, at which point, I would just play the video again, but this is not the type of video I would do that with, sorry.

When i did my test at a doctor some years ago i found out i have hypo adhd and asperger. I noticed that the forms of improvement and disprovement of those diagnoses is that many of the things adhd makes worse, my asperger helps, and many things my asperger has a hard time on, my adhd helps many of those too! But also sometimes if one of them is good at something, the other one can make it worse because the other one isn't good at that thing and distracts. 😂

    1-Y (yes. god yes.)
    2-Y
3-Y (nothing more i hate than standing in a line, i think.)
    4-N (im decently quiet.)
    5-N
6-Y (not always in practice, but i really do want to. especially when i was living with my father, who dragged questions out forever...)
    7-Y
    8-N
9-N (ive got too much social anxiety for that lol)
    1-Y
2-Y (it was mainly in school, but it generally applies everywhere else... i think public school is just a huge amplifier for this sort of thing.)
3-Y (autism win! i would definitely believe that i don't have the hyperactive subtype if a doctor said so, but i wouldn't say it'd be a stretch to go "i probably have adhd" in general especially since i know they can be comorbid.)
    4-Y

I ctually kinda struggle socialy cause I have to ask twice or thrice, and in some cases, I have to ask more than that to get what people are saying, and a lot of times I kind of zone out after a while whenever someone is talking despite my best efforts, happens at school, with friends and family too. It is awful but it ain't that much... I think.

Could be due to social media / environmental factors that you’ve developed these issues, or it’s another condition instead. Check back on school reports to see if they have any comments that could be
