Alexa, the actress who plays Maddy, was asked if she could switch characters with this season she said Lexi. She said she can’t give anything away but she loved her in this season. I’m hoping that means she starts finding herself and confidence. Which would make it more likely for her to go for Fez unlike how she usually plays everything safe.

Definitely feel like Nate is trynna be giddy giddy with Maddie to get that tape back, I do think he is more into Cassie right now. Also I think either Cassie is up to something or she is learning not to care anymore about her and Nate because she realizes it’s not good for her…she might become heartless. And if she does then I feel like that might bother Nate;) I’m interested in what she does next tbh!

Sorry if this is a major reach, but what if the person who dies is Ali? Judging from episode 3, Rue acted cold towards him the last time they talked and I could see how the show could make that scene hurt more if they made it tragic like that.

I think it’s just Rue having a “becoming a believer” moment.
In her last argument with Ali she mentioned how she’s not trying to find God, Allah or whoever else Ali wanted her to believe in. So that could easily be one of those moments where she does..
Don’t think it’s a funeral because there’s no one else in the crowd but Elliot & Jules, plus they’re sitting far from the front.. where’s everyone else at that would be there to support her?
I think that’s when rue may die. Or like a waking moment for her during one of her potential overdoses.

People who are all bout how Nate is in love with Cassie, just know that : he isn’t. Nate is in love with selfishness, revenge, power, ego and abuse. The only time he turned on Cassie last episode was when she was dressed as Maddie. Even Fez said he was into Jules. He loved Maddie, maybe not anymore ( now he just wants the tapes), he clearly has some unresolved feelings for Jules in full denial, maybe because of his dad, maybe because she is trans, probably both. But he does not love Cassie, he loves her body, and her easiness, but trust me there is no disrespect in love, not like this. It’s not because your are f*cking someone that you love them.

cal knows rue, juels or fez doesnt have the tape and knows that nate lied about them having it, so my guess is that cal threatened nate (maybe about cassie) to get the tape back (which he probably knows Maddie took), hence the flowers to maddie trying to get close with her again so he can get the tape back

Noooo, why is maddy getting back together with nate? She was doing so good on her own. I was really rooting for her to know her self worth and self love.
It shows just how insecure and afraid of becoming her mom she is. She is giving up her self respect, dignity, pride, etc. just to be with a guy who she thinks will up her status in life. But we all know that Nate is just playing her for that disc.
I feel like he just wants the cal/Jules tape. I think he tries to keep in touch with Maddie to get it back. I'm probably wrong.

I actually wanted to see more of cals backstory, it sounds like he may have gotten his gf pregnant and I wanted to see what happened with the relationship with his friend
yea the gf is nate’s mom pregnant w nate’s older brother and i guess he never spoke to his best friend again
I got the vibe that something maybe happened between the gf and the best friend, based on the looks she was giving him in that gym scene. Maybe nate’s brother isn’t cal’s and thats why he dislikes him so much.

It's...a lot deeper than that. I don't wanna sound pretentious here but this show does a really great job of adding depth to those usual tropes. With Maddy/Nate/Cassie, it's about the different levels of power, toxicity, and abuse in a relationship. With Jules/Rue/Elliot, we have Elliot being more of a mirror looking back at Jules & Rue's relationship and their own issues. To chalk it up to just a couple of simple love triangles isn't really giving the show any credit
