  • The owner of LuxTiny Tiny House Community takes us on a tour of his Tiny House village, LuxTiny, and explains why he thinks it's important to provide affordable housing for working families in Lakeside, Arizona (a wealthy neighborhood). The homes in his village are surprisingly large & luxurious with spacious lots for a reasonable price.

This book is a comprehensive guide for anyone who wants to create various types of garden buildings. The book provides clear and detailed instructions with numerous photos. czcams.com/users/postUgkxBE-xSmFU7PIaMFUmmhnFxE035s5svtxeAs a novice, I appreciated the book's step-by-step approach to the basics of building. The book also appeals to the more advanced DIY enthusiast with projects ranging from simple to complex. The book is up to date with the latest trends, such as solar panels, green roofs, and sweet chestnut shakes. The book has inspired me to pursue more projects in the future.

I think this young man is successful because he is trying to help people that aren't wealthy, have a home. He's not price gouging, didn't pack the homes in like sardines in a can, and he is letting people have a little say in how they decorate their rental lots. He's done a great job and I know his renters are grateful to have such a beautiful place to call home. Now he needs to write a small book with all of his tips on "Fighting City Hall, County Regulations, and Winning!" He could e-publish himself and I would def buy one.

As it stands I've seen some of the advertisements for a tiny home and they cost the same as a regular size house that's on it's own plot.

Veteran's Community Project is building tiny home communities in Kansas City for military veterans who need a safe home to live in while transitioning from unsafe living conditions. They also provide support and services to help veterans whether it's finding a permanent home, employment, getting an ID, military benefits they are eligible for, etc. It's truly extraordinary how they are helping these men and women. The fact that for hundreds of years people lived fine with smaller homes and raised families but now municipalities (with all the resource issues) force people to build homes larger than they need. There should be areas zoned for homes in the 300 -1500 square ft range. There is pent up demand for right-sized homes where you own the home and land. Sadly most developers to make massive profits and will price right-sized homes the same price as a 3,000 sq ft home.
