My Album "Weltmaschine" is finished!

After working on my first solo record for almost a whole year, it is finally finished. Weltmaschine will be released on 21.06.21 - the date of summer solstice, exactly 1 year after I started with the first recording.
Thank you for following along parts of the process or even the whole journey!
After spending a small fortune on recording and mixing at Nils Frahm's Funkhaus studio and mastering the album at Peter Gabriel's Real World Studios and a financially tough year of literally no possibilities to play any concerts, I would appreciate any help in raising the funds for the actual pressing of the CDs and Vinyl. That's why I start the presale of the album and some sattelite items now.

This is definitely one of the musical highlights 2021 and probably THE album of 2021 to date, not only in electronic but cross-genre.

Erstmal Danke für die Information. Nachdem ich Dein "Fibonacci" - Video gesehen habm, ist bei mir die Entscheidung aufgekommen, mir eine Odyssey (Ist die Behringer geworden) zuzulegen und damit zu experimentieren. Manchmal braucht man den "Stups". In jedem Fall wieder hochinteressante Projekte bei Dir.

Yes, the digital version of the album will be availlable for purchase on bandcamp. I won't stop you from buying it there and supporting the project, but here's a little spoiler: Next week I will open registrations for a free release experience, packed with stories and behind the scenes footage and everyone who signs up for it will get the digital album download for free.

can't wait! Is there are reason why you don't use spotify and other streaming services? Could be great to reach more people!
Actually, I do. My recent EP Stille. is on all the platforms and the new album will also be availlable there as soon as it is released to public. The reason I don‘t promote this actively is that these platforms are kind of like black holes, community-wise. I have no way of personally reaching out to the people that listen to my music on Spotify etc. and build a relationship with them. Spotify basically takes my music AND my fans, makes a profit of both and gives me a ridiculous compensation. I’m okay with providing my music for free digital streaming, but I want to know who the people are that listen to it and want to be able to speak to them. Best example is this conversation we‘re having right now would not be possible over there. But this is a big part of what keeps me going.
@@mariusleicht Now I understand and see it the same way. In my eyes, streaming services have destroyed a lot and it's getting worse. Music is degenerating into fast-food music, many don't even know how to listen to music properly! My brother is also an artist and he said that it is getting harder and harder to achieve something with real art, but you should never give up. Wish you only the best Marius and take care.

@@mariusleicht Angekommen: Großartig!!! Sitze im Wohnzimmer, Verstärker auf „Lauter“ Aerial Screensaver auf dem TV und dann genießen. Wunderbar wie bei Satori gegen Ende die Erdbebenfrequenzen reinkommen… das muss man fühlen, und die B&W haben mal richtig was zu tun. Der Kopfhörer kann das nicht bieten… da höhrt man das zwar, aber man spürt es nicht. Ich muss es mir später noch im Proberaum im Keller anhören…
Das Piano klingt, als würde ich selbst dran sitzen, toll aufgenommen und gemixt. Nix weggefiltert, klasse.
Mein musikalisches Highlight in 2021!
Order is raus. Dann hab' ich auch mal ein Stück des Klangteppichs zuhaus ;) (ok, ich hab jetzt auch nen klangteppich für mein e-drum set, aber bisweilen klingt der nicht so schön wie deiner, der muss kaputt sein :D )
