Theyâre gonna have to do Try Guys Learn CPR next, because the way Keith was doing compressions on that dummy was totally wrong đ
Also can Dr Mike be there to emphasize "chest compressions, chest compressions, chest compressions"??
I'd watch!
@@JBums1028 i was about to comment that đ
Would be a great video would love to see them actually do it might help somebody someday!
He should sing the song "Staying alive"
I hope they do this for the Winter Olympics too. I'd love to see the try guys try figure skating and snowboarding
Would also love to see them do a series on Paralympic sports
Would love to see them do Downhill or Super-Gđ

For someone with the nickname "McFierce" she is actually a fountain of sweet, friendly joyfulness đ
Wait till you get in the mat with her you will change your mind quick lmao.
Her: You ready to learn taekwondo?
Me: I am ready to know who she kicked in the face
Keith did pretty well!! I think Ned tired him out in the second round, but those long legs came in handy.
Imagine being able to hit or kick someone from feet away lol.
I thought it was because of that "Kick" Ned gave him
Ned did get more coaching during the figth, that could have helped
@@toto_n-n3073 I noticed that too that Keith was bent over more in the second round and I think he did that to help Ned some since it didn't look like either of them were flexible enough to get their kicks up higher. when I spar my white belts or shorter people I always get down lower so they can have a better chance of hitting unless I know they have the flexibility and leg control to get their kicks up then I'll stay like I normally fight. I'm a 1st degree black belt in Taekwondo so I was really happy to see people doing different martial arts instead of just karate
Game went down after kick below the belt. Keith lost all confidence, and instead of pulling kicks through, he had to kick while constantly protecting his jewels, so never really kicking from then on đ but then he couldn't blame anyone cuz they were not compatible in height for first match ever.
Of course, Eugene is not a part of this. He has a black belt, and anyone who goes against him will be done in 5 seconds.
Really?
@@lieybethl1992 yes, he says so in the karate video!
Lmao I was just about to comment this! đ
yeah... but id love to see Eugene against an Olympic just to see the difference :'D

I'm actually pretty surprised at how much strategy this took, it made me realized that there's so much to professional sports that what you would think from just watching them on tv
It does take a lot of strategy
Agree! I look forward to watching it now that I know more about it.
It's much more than a sport, its a lifestyle.
As a black belt in the sport, I wholeheartedly agree. Its not just wildly swinging your fists, you have to block and dodge and still be able to hit your opponent who is doing the same. It takes years of practice to become this proficient
@@kenheins4973 You couldnât have said it any better! It requires a lot discipline something that other sports donât usually carry to the lives of the athletes
Haven't seen this commented yet, but Paige is such a great supportive teacher for Keith and Ned!
Yes!! She's amazing! đ
And she was fun too!
If I ever wanted to learn Iâd hope I get a teacher like her. đđŒ

loved her energy. she's great.
I kinda know why eugene didnt come with ned, they would get serious serious đ
Taking an educated guess - Eugene is a black belt alreadyâŠ.and knowing how competitive they get, it would end up being super dangerous. Plus, with Zachâs health issues, it would be dangerous for him, so then youâd end up with uneven pairing.
I was just thinking that. It got pretty intense during their last fighting match.
@@northangerallie1921 yeah. Also, he has a black belt???
@@SpringStarFangirl I thought so! I know he did Taekwondo as a kid - theyâve mentioned it before in videos and on the podcast.
Dead seriousl. They would.

she's so positive and went along with all of their dumb jokes i love her lol đ
I think this was the sparring contest Keith talked about in one trypod where Becky got angry at Ned for all the bruises keith got. But they both did awesome. This was great to watch, thank you for getting the Try Guys to do this awesome activities! â€
really? link and timestamp?
It makes sense tho cause Keith was blocking almost all of his kicks
@@nivetham3560sorry, i forgot which episode but they did mentioned it.
@@Lemon_Hollow that was what Ned said too and I think Ned hits hard also đ
@@graceblc855 ok no problem!
Love that Keith did this! He always comes off as a gentle giant.
OMFG Ned is so competitive you can see him struggling not to go full Fulmer on Keith.
It's not that I didn't expect the Try Guys to collaborate with the Olympics, but it's not unwelcome! I LOVE IT
Honestly if the guys did one of these for every sport in the Olympics, I'd watch them all!
Paige was so badass and down to earth, I loved this episode! She was simultaneously super intimidating but also funny and engaging.
I kept waiting for psychotic competitive Ned to show up. He finally arrived and kicked Keith in the junk.
Classic psychotic competitive Ned
i'm living for the panic on keith and ned's face when she started going fast trough the defense blocking HAHAHA
love how Paige described it as chess. I was so surprised when I tried Taekwondo how much its about controlled precise movement rather than pure power. Also, as a very short person, so jealous of Keith's long legs. I wish I had that reach!
Back in the day when scoring sensors werent a thing yet it also included power.because you really need to make that hogu make the cracking sound to score a point and knocking out your opponent with a kick to the head is an instant win so yeah tkd became more tamer nowadays its more of a leg fencing than real unadultered taekwondo.
Is there a particular body type that's ideal for this?
@@lurategh if u have long arms and legs
@@lurategh Not really, no. You do NOT need to be big or tall for martial arts (see: Bruce Lee), and there are weight classes for competitions. I'm very short (under 5') and excelled at sparring when I practiced Taekwondo because it's highly strategic... also, I was fast and could dodge hits, lol.
WHY was this not advertised more? I love this
đŻ believe Keith and Ned did this one because itâs blue vs red in the Olympic matches. đ”đ„đŽ
it makes sense now
Fascinating how close it is to fencing.
Instead of swords, you get legs. But the movements are and space usage are pretty much the same, even the "dueling" system is similar
This is the Olympic sparring part of Taekwondo, so of course the rules on how you get points are similar. My least fav part of it I would do everything else, this will take longer to learn (the overall sport)
@@yolandapaulino5952 ah! It never ocurred to me it would be different for the olympics
Iâm a 3rd degree black belt in Taekwondo. Itâs the best workout Iâve ever don. Sparring is my least favorite element, but itâs still super fun. A full match is absolutely brutal. The total 6 minutes feels like you ran a marathon.
one tournament I went to had 3, 3 minute rounds... felt like death.
Same!! I loved every part of it except for the matches hahaha, I didn't really wanna hit other people
id imagine it to be kinda like boxing. where those 3 minutes feel like an eternity. It looks fun tho. Id like to try it.
I used to compete when I was 10-11 and I couldn't agree more. I still remember ending up completely exhausted after every mach even though as you said they're just 2 minutes rounds, that really feel an eternity. Nice memories and I still have the medals I won.
The last minute of the three minute rounds, you feel like your chest is going to explode, itâs so tiring. Or maybe itâs just my asthma. đ
After hearing it called "body chess," it honestly makes sense that Ned was part of this video. After all, he is known for tying with a chess master on their channel.
Can we just appreciate their blended family? đđ»
That's a very optimistic groin protector đđ Keith
And then the "ah, foreARM" like he was implying the other option was fore...? LOL
When itâs with these guys, itâs not Taekwondo...
Itâs TRY-kwondo!!
They missed the opportunity to have an Olympic medalist taekwondo fighter fight Eugene who just has a black belt
Iâm surprised that Keithâs kihap wasnât âKEITH!â
Paige is great at explaining, and also really fun. What an awesome teacher.
I also love when she just casually hooked Ned behind the head with her heel.
I love how there are a lot of female Olympics in this series. They are amazingly badass (as are the men but love the variety)!
âSo letâs take away the pointsâ đ
When she mentioned breaking their hands the faces they made were hilarious!
Really wanted Eugene to show off his background. But this was hilarious, and informative!
Yeah, me too! Was disappointed to see no Eugene here.
I think he already got a black belt
It didn't work for the format, they needed clueless guys to explain things to lmao and I think Zach is not here because of his health problems so the two pairings make sense
@Lady Seashell Bikini True! Perfect match
Paige: As long as youâre accurate on the hogu, thatâs how you score a point.
Ned: what did you call it?
Paige: đđđ Accuracy? How you score a point?
Them: No the hogu
đđđđđđđđđđđ PAIGE IS SO FUNNY
As someone who has done tkd for almost 15 years and been competing competitively for 4, I always forget how awkward it is for people to learn sparring. I used to compete in sparring but my doctor barred me so I had to switch over to poomsae and whenever my dojang gives me the sparring class to teach, I'm constantly trying to convince kids to hit each other because they're too scared.
I'm an ITF red belt and terrible at sparring, got any tips / strategies for it ?
Free sparring I mean as my 2 and 1 step is OK
@@zigzagvr841 I would say work on flexibility, footwork, and endurance. A lot of the fights I've been in, the other person didn't have the energy to keep going. What I did to get better is I asked my grandmaster to fight against me and he whooped me xD
@@zigzagvr841 the way I was taught is all footwork and striking fast, get in while theyâre unbalanced and get out while theyâre still recovering. If your too close for a kick deliver some punches. Donât try to be smart and go with the flashy kicks, do a lot of simpler harder kicks. E.g Roundhouse, backhook, pushing kick
As a former student of the sport, I got to give respect to Ned and Keith for trying Taekwondo out.
I know weâre only on the second episode, but Iâm loving the experts so far! They know the guys like to goof around a bit, but really do âtryâ their best. The experts get that and goof around with them too while still being super informative and patient.
Also, I just love me some Try Guys đ€·đ»ââïžđ Would love to see this format come back for the winter games next year!!!
Paige is so bubbly and lovely, she seems so excited to be sharing her knowledge!
I was lucky enough to see Paige win her Bronze in person in London! While they had mini videos before each competition, as someone who knew little tonothing about the sport before attending the Olympic matches, this type of video would have been extremely helpful. Great Job everyone!
I know itâs like the whole point of being a professional and being an Olympic caliber athlete but wow she makes it look so easy and yet I know I could not do that
ned is hella competitive haha
truly HAHAHA
Anyone thinking of that YCSWU episode when Becky got upset at how much bruises Keith got from an episode with Ned?? Anyone?? Ok just me

As a taekwondo athlete my self it is really awesome to see my sport represented on the Try Guys. â€ïž
When you hate the Olympics for what they do to the people in the cities it's held in and the harm it does to the environment and the resources it wastes, but you also want to watch everything the Try Guys do.
This comment just nails it! Well said.
You know that meme about having rando people in the Olympics as a comparison-this is that meme irl đ
No wonder Becky wanted Ned's head on a platter.
I'm gonna need to borrow the dummy with Ned's face on due to current situations lol
She is wonderful. I certain will be watching this in the olympics!!
Ned saying "or Smarties" is epic... đđđ
I was so excited to see Keith beating Ned in a physical competition. Hehe.
I really love this series! Itâs so interesting to learn about sports I wouldâve known nothing about beforehand. And the fact that thereâs electronics involved in this one and in fencing?? So freaking cool

I'm so glad they did this one! I I did this until I was 13 and we had to move, really makes me wish I had kept up with it. I competed in tournaments but I didn't know it was an Olympic sport. Will definitely be cheering on Paige in Tokyo!

Paige this episode and the gymnast judges last episode are so amazing and inspirational!!
I can't wait to watch Paige! This series is getting me excited and it's so cool to see the athletes like this.
Keith has an advantage because of his longer legs, but being taller also makes him more likely to get kicked... *low.*
Atill an advantage since kicking lower than the armor has penalties
@@offlaner745 I meeeean... An advantage at what cost lmao. I'm pretty sure Keith and Becky want kids someday XD
Paige is so supportive, I loved her
When Keith Jr. fell, I couldn't hold back my tears
Dang, I wanted to see Eugene attempt against an Olympian. But since he has a black belt... I guess that's a bit of an advantage!
Ik this is the Olympics yt channel but the try guys are owning it-
I would pay a million dollars for a punch hug from keith đ„șđđ
I really want to know why paige has kicked someone in the face in real life, somebody was really messing with the wrong pal
Well again, she said that face kicks are worth 3-5 points in this sport, so I think that that has something to do with it.
@@ianlee4565 head kicks, not face kicks. Pretty sure face kicks that would break a nose would be a point deduction. Plus, they asked about in âreal lifeâ which, to me, means outside of the sport.
@@coolM353 A head kick counts on any part of the head, including the face, so yes, you can kick the face and get the 3-4 points. But I'm pretty sure the question was about a situation outside the competition. And as a side note, you actully don't see a lot of broke noses in a TKD competition, and when they happen, it's usually cause by an accidental punch or a knee hit on the face.
@Lady Seashell Bikini I do Taekwondo and you are allowed to kick to the face however because of electronic scoring it often doesnât count unless the referees give it
