- In this video, you will be completely informed about proper application of composite floor slab system using metal deck.
Here, will show the viewers if this flooring system is applicable in the proposed floor plan structure.
in addition there is an independent calculation to double check the safe slab thickness and togethere with the sizing of extra bars in every beam supports.
Have fun watching!

I am currently learning Tagalog, but unfortunately do not know enough to follow the video sadly. From what I did understand, your video is very comprehensive and educational. Thank you for making it and I hope to someday soon understand all of it.
Thanks engr.! Dami ko po natututunan sa inyo at mas madali maintindihan turo nyo.
Napakalinaw po at madaling makuha ung turo nyo salamat po sir
thank you po God bless
Hi Engr! I hope po may ibang way para maka reach po sa inyo through email or any messaging app. Thank you & Godbless! Laki po ng tulong ng channel nyo.

Thank you Engr, May I ask po if meron po ba kayong designing firm?
D prime po un na solve? Anu po value ng w na gamit? Rho min po ba gamit?
Looks like you have concrete beam to support the metal deck. I have not done or seen a metal deck connected to concrete beam before. It look weird to me the way you show the reinf (no offense). How do you connect the deck to the concrete beam? Usually metal deck are for steel construction and welded to the top of beam with shear studs. We also connect roof metal deck to CMUs supported by an angle with anchor bolt embedded to the CMU.
Just simply put on top of the side forms the beam..its end touching the beam stirrups and then weld it before pouring the beam and slab
@@joelp.costillas1789 That means your reinforcement bars are weldable materials. That would be expensive. Welding a non- weldable reinforcement rebars will weaken the reinforcement. Color for weldable reinforcement are red, the rest are white, yellow, and green for grade. After removing the forms what's holding the deck? It's just the weak non-weldable dowels? duh!
Sir question lng po,ano pong mangyayari pag ginamit po ang steel deck sa 2-way slab?
If you use it in 2way, the effect of being composite is ignored. In other words you just use it as permanent formwork, therefore in that case you need to provide main reinforcing bars bothways. Thanks
@@jsdesign_engineeringtv3633 So, for 1 way slab there will be reinforcement only along the shorter span of the floor? I'm a senior BIM for a structural firm for along time. I've never heard of 2 way and 1 way reinforcement for metal deck construction. it's always a composite deck construction with lightweight concrete.
