    thank you for this sir. i'm an engineer for 5 years na at nakalimutan ko na karamihan ng alam ko sa design. this helped me refresh my memory since ang work ko ngayon is fit-outs. hoping to be a contractor in the future at makapag design and build na.

    Titingnan ko pag nagpagawa ako ng plano sa
    planned renovation ng single story house namin yan.. you made me decide to hire professionals instead kay Mang Enteng na marami na daw siyang nagawang bahay pero worried ako sa " moments" na natutunan ko sayo Engr.
    yung "bending moments " na critical na ma-address. Thank you again sir! More power !

    Regarding depth of footing for uniform thickness based on sbc you have a thumb rule
    SBC . D/A
    5t 1/7.0
    10t 1/5.5
    15t 1/5.0
    20t 1/4.5
    25t 1/4.0
    30t 1/3.5 where D is depth of footing, A is side of footing. In this case for 15t/m^2 D= 2.5/5=0.50m roughly. You have calculated 0.40m.

      As far as I know there is no licensure for structural. Civil engineer lang but you should have comprehensive experience in structural design so you can be called a structural engineer

      no need for top bars from A to B, just those extra bars (blue lines) that I showed.

    Sir karaniwan po pagbubuhos ng concrete sa slab pag hindi natatapos sa beam sila humihinto then kinabukasan tinutuloy ok po ba yun? Thanks..

      Theoretically hindi acceptable, but kung ang span between beam-beam around 3 to 4 meters negligible naman ang effect. Importante yung rebar splicing, hooks and development length are in proper arrangement. Rebars will take care of it

    Sa cross section po ng slab at beam, same lang po ang ang top ng beam at top ng slab? or dapat nakapatong ang slab sa top ng beam?

    Pag ako nag de-design ng Ganyan ginagamitan ko ng pattern LIVE LOAD..
    What is pattern live load?
    Ex..put live load on stair area..then next span no live ..then live load again sa next.. why pattern live load..
    Para makuha yung mas malaking moment sa midspan..compare sa full live load on all span.. thanks..

      Normally ang pinaka effective treatment is epoxy grout. Hindi na kasi pwede ang concrete grout dahil ma de-detach lang. Proper procedures - I will make a short video on that, stay tuned to this channel. Thanks.
