Hi, 1. How did you decide on periphery trees ( wind break trees) 2. were there just 2 varieties that you mentioned as periphery / windbreak or others too that you planted on periphery 3. what is the distance between two periphery trees? 4. what is the size of the pit that you dug for trees? 5. did you do some treatment like adding manure, keeping the pit open for 15 -20 days before planting ? 6. did you have different species in the direction of the wind. for eg . if the wind predominantly is from west, or north west , did you plant some type of trees on those direction as compared to other direction? 7. the choice of trees in the east / north east / south east? as they would cast shadow in the farm ?

I am viewing your videos with great interest and hope...because you have done what is the dream of many. I am planning to start a farm ...but I have to really learn about premaculture. Could you suggest good reading material and also was wondering if 3 acres is sufficient to start a permaculture farm. Pleas suggest. Thanks
3 acres is more than enough to practice permaculture! The Earth Users Guide to Permaculture by Rosemary Morrow is one book that we found very useful. All the best to you!

Sheesham, Moringa, Gulmohar, Amaltas, Siris ..
Why is it important to have wind breaker trees? Won't wind help in pollination?
You need a breeze for pollination. Not heavy winds.

The book we read was 'Earth User's Guide to Permaculture' by Rosemary Morrow.
@@farmaanandaa Thanks. Will again ask the same question after I finish the book!!!😁
@@shubhamk.8860 No worries :)
Medam it is possible Bamboo tree as use same like a Wind Break tree.
It is possible to use Bamboo as wind breaks, but remember bamboo needs a lot of water. So if you have a natural source of water on your boundary, or generally you live in a heavy rainfall area (where bamboo is a native plant) then you may use it as a wind break.
Which video explains more about zoning
coming up soon, stay tuned
You mentioned Oregon State University for PDC..can you pl.send me the link.Im planning to do this course,as Iam right now in the process of finalising our land near Karjat.

Madam. I want to visit your firm. Because you are idol for me. I want to start parmaculture.
Kya hum aapse training le sakte hain.
Manisha Mam... You have been an inspiration to me.. I have recently purchased a small piece of land and I want to create a food forest as beautiful as Aanandaa. Can you please help me in how to decide the spacing between fruit trees. I am planting two rows of windbreak at 6 ft distance. How to decide how much space to be kept between fruit trees as their canopy size varies. Is their a general rule of thumb I can use?
Please read our blogs on www.aanandaa.com. You will find a lot of information there. All the best!
If permaculture does not encourage tilling/ploughing, then why do we need to plough/till at all?
See Manisha's TEDx talk .. she explains it there.
Plz provide details of trees planted

Hi Mam you are doing good work but i have suggestion for you that you should make your videos in Hindi language only because farmers can't understand english second and most important you belongs to Bharat hence you should talk in Hindi

czcams.com/video/smO1APNbqWc/video.html

There are our Hindi videos. We get viewership from 20+ countries - so we need to make most of our content in English, so that they can watch too.
@Vinod Sehgal What makes you think only Hindi is spoken in Bharat?
