As a dental hygienist working for 20+ years sitting on a stool working on patients I developed this rotated hip situation that you show in the video. My right hip is the issue as it was the side facing the dental chair. I was bending over sideways to do my job. I have since retired and it is better but every now and then it flares up and the pain is really intense. Thanks for posting this video.

This exercises seem good to me. I don't know if they are adequate because I have two calcified lumbar vertebrae, and scoliosis. But I tried the first one and it gave me relief. Thankyou. You are always helpful.🥰

I had a blunt force trauma to my right hip and back when I was thrown from a off road forklift. I did 18 PT sessions for lower back pain. Everytime I get on a Treadmill or I walk I start to feel lower back, outer hip, upper leg in front and glutes, and some groin pain. Pain increases when I walk up a hill or even a gentle long slope of 1/4 to 1/2 mile. I however almost have no pain in back or hips when I walk down a hill for a distance of 1/2 mile. Pain comes back immediately when I start walking on flat or up a hill. Walking up hill increase pain in my outer hip.
Wow. Instant relief. I've suffered from pain over the iliac for decade on and off - wish I had known about this earlier. Usually just massaged with my thumbs, walked, and it goes away after a few days.

I am almost 67 have been having a problem that resembles this for a couple of months. It doesn't keep me from doing very physical things - ride bike, paddleboard, transport grocery carts, etc. but one wrong move - like picking something up off the floor will feel like my hip or lower back locks. I've noticed that if I stand with my back against the wall and bend over and touch my toes for about 5 seconds and repeat that for about 5 times it usually stops the pain. Does that exercise make sense in that situation? I am excited to try YOUR stretches and see how they work for my situation. Thank you for sharing with us!

I think I may developed this problem by sitting on a sofa that is worn so that I am not sitting on a level surface, but sinking into the place where the two cushions come together.
Level your seat 💺, I put a silver coated serving tray (neighbours were moving and people wasted money on 50th thing...) under the cushion as it's an old passed down couch hubby won't part with plus thing fits nicely, but get it level, even a board will work, remember your body doesn't know it's crooked and will compensate, realign, the pain is from your muscles and brain saying stop ✋!
@@joseenoel8093Thanks for your suggestion. The cushion is sown into the couch itself so I cannot put anything under the cushion. However, you are right, I need to level it so I am not in pain.

Is this related to the SI joint? I injured my SI by lifting a 50 lb suitcase and twisting up. Mine got fixed with chiropractic adjustments over two months ago, and I just woke up with a bruise and pain again. Not at all as bad as before, but still, I didn't do anything except sit at my desk for long hours.

Can this cause Sciatica and mid low back centralized pain? I do have disc protrusions, but I also have such a tight inflamed hip on my right side, which is also the side that causes problems, so I think this could maybe be a cause as well to my numbness all the way down on my inner right foot.
It can cause other issues as it causes less that perfect posture which can cause all kinds of aches and pains.
Have you been to the doctor for a proper diagnosis? This will help to know which exercises will be best for you to start out with without making things worse by guessing.

My issue is scoliosis, and my curve is about 40%. I have lots of narrowing, degenerative disease. Things causing pressure on the spine etc. Goes from C2 down to L4-5.
Would these exercises help me? A neurosurgeon told me I'd have a long metal plate and screws, and be under anesthesia 6-7 hours. I'm 72yr old. Dr didn't give me any option other than surgery with 2 months of inpatient therapy. Any other exercises to offer in addition to these? 🙂 Thanks in advance.

Could you help me the report MRI describes the findings of the examination, which include:
• Normal lumbar lordosis
• Normal spinal cord termination
• Normal lumbar vertebra corpus heights and signal intensities
• Normal intervertebral disc heights and signal intensities
• No significant neural compression findings at the L1-L2 or L2-L3 levels
• L3-L4 intervertebral disc slightly inferiorly migrated causing spinal canal and nerve root compression
• L4-L5 intervertebral disc diffuse symmetrical disc bulging, more on the left, causing thecal sac and neural foraminal narrowing
• L5-S1 intervertebral disc diffuse symmetrical disc bulging, causing mild thecal sac compression and obliteration of fat between the disc and nerve root
The conclusion of the report is that the patient has disc herniation at the L3-L4, L4-L5, and L5-S1 levels. These herniations are causing nerve compression.

With the doorway option, how should the lower half of your body be positioned? The video doesn't show.
I have scoliosis and I am locked up with frozen areas and everything else for at least 50 years I don't think that stretch is going to do it because I've done much more and I was an act robot and everything else and I was a kid and a ballet dancer and then scolio's head interest destroyed me.
I have one hip higher than the other due to scoliosis. The doc thinks it may be rotated also.

I am an Pedorthist and this problem is exactly why I tell patient that I will not address a leg length inequality without a prescription from a PT or a MD. If I did address it as such it would exacerbate the issue. Had a retired orthopedic surgeon get mad becuase I said his wife had a pelvic issue not a leg length discrepancy, but explained I didn't want to cause more harm.
