In regards to the ferry not being usable if there are other vehicles in the guild, that goes into helping with the territory control aspect. I was the alchemists guild master, n had an airship. I flooded the market with vehicles, then with the airship, I went into the mountains to take control of all the western location with no opposition simply bc no one could get to me easily. Got points from all that extra location I ruled
Guy with striped shirt, there’s much to discover with this one. More plays will bring it out. Hopefully you give it a chance and play again. Orange shirt - if I’m ever in FL, we’ll have to set up a game.
Five years later, is anyone even thinking about this game any longer? When was the last time you got this to the table?
Fair point, this one had a BIG flash in the pan, but there will always be another new, hot game to play
16:10 :))) Aaron. Had to re-watch his facial expressions before the "mom-dad comment".
Tom brought up the same issues other reviewers did: complexity for complexity's sake, steep learning curve, design over mechanics and so on. Wonder if he'll ever play the game again.
Glad Wes liked the game. Hopefully I will too.
Very nice video, I felt like I was watching my brain struggle during your discussion. Ok I agree with him! I should buy it. Wait. No I shouldn't buy it! Or should I?
I think you all had great reasons, thanks for showing me the different aspects of the game!
I love that Sal from Impractical Jokers is a board gamer, too.
Our group played this twice. First time we really struggled n ended at the first epoch. But the second time it went about smoother. Still had a lot of questions. But this is a kind of game that takes time to learn. But that's only bc there's a lot of minor rules. I feel that once u see the logic n connections, i think it can be really really good. There is a logic to how everything works by itself, n in conjunction with other things. I would say that perhaps some things could be removed to streamline things. But I also think that if that was done, it would take away from the personality of the game.
"Foray" was actually the perfect word!
Awesome video guys. I love the arguments and comradery.
Shit, I like calculus. Guess I'm going to have to pick up this game.
Good review really enjoyed you had such strong and fair opinions.
I still want to play this one more! Can’t find anyone to play with me though... -Wes
@@NeverBoredGaming I am not super surprised I really wanted to get it but it just won't work with my gaming grouo
Just finished the video, thought you guys had good chemistry and were able to express yourselves well enough to get your ideas across. One thing I would say is that it got a little uncomfortable when you guys were arguing and dismissing each others opinions. You can't really say someone's opinion is invalid. Almost felt like you guys needed a moderator to keep you guys from each others throats. Maybe look into debate etiquette or something? Just an idea. (btw, I subscribed b/c it was fun watch nontheless).
Thanks Austin, we keep things in check most of the time. Thanks for the sub!
