Looks like a great day to have a little hike and day camp meal sir
You know you’ve done well when the boy wants grits. That was some cool gear!!! 👍🏻
Good to see you out and about. Take care and God bless. Ken
Hi John! Greets from a Fan, from good old Germany. Please Keep it up!
Thanks again John. Enjoy your vids.
I enjoy you cook/canteen set videos. Best wishes from Northern Ireland.
Nice video! Even better lunch!! The only missing ingridient is Tobasco sauce on the eggs(for my personal taste). Keep the videos coming, please.
Great video... I really miss going out with my son when he was that age....
Holy smokes I thought you were calling it quits. I'm glad to see you're still at it!
We’re still at it. Just been very busy. Thanks for watching!
You can balance the pan by putting a stick across the opposite side.. its also easier to make scrambled eggs if you mix them in a bowl, then pour in a hot greased pan.
Don't stir the eggs, let them cook, fold ad they set, keep folding until done. Then you have a clean pan.
Great vid and a good message. I can see the Fla woods in ur vids. PS I have the same foliage green shemagh👌
Great Father!

My regal kit pot lid has a red plastic knob ?? I got it around 77. Mine must be Really cheap lol. Pan handle does have plenty of clearance and does lock down tight. Enjoyed the video.
Now I want gritz!
Most peeps i know here in Arkansas use sweetener in grits. Thanks
John, how do you clean your used aluminum canteens when you first get them? I have an old Polish and Russian canteen that I want to clean.
Mikes Knives If the piece has scale inside, a canteen, I put beach or sandbox sand inside and shake it for a while to remove that. Then I use a vinegar and water mixture and heat it up to remove deposits. You can do the same with mess kits as long as you can keep the sand in. Be careful with how long you have the vinegar inside because it is corrosive if left a long time. Then after that, I pour boiling water inside to clean the rest.
John Sherwood thank you so much, I greatly appreciate the help. My son and I really enjoy your videos.
John, where you been..? We miss your great videos. Do I need to send you mess kits to make videos on? Really enjoy your videos. Please keep them coming...
Daniel Romero I’m still here. I haven’t been able to get out or even make a review video at home. I will try to get one out soon. Thanks for checking on me.
Is everything ok ? Just wondering, been missing your videos
I’m still here. Just been very busy. I will try to get something up as soon as I can. Thanks for checking on me!
Very enjoyable video thanks. Btw what is your favourite bible quote?
birdie399 I have a lot but the one that comes to my mind today is Psalm 91. God’s protection is something that gives me peace in times of trouble or just everyday life. He has saved me a few times from danger. Some I know about and many that I don’t know about. I hope you trust in God too. You can’t go wrong with trusting God. Thanks for watching my videos and for your question.
Do you work for MM?
Have you ever baked with your mess kit?
Lockheed Martin!
Is this mess kit stainless steel?
No. It’s aluminum.
@@John-Sherwood-W4JFS Thank you for clarifying, I was about to purchase this in offer up, but I don't want to procure Alzheimers.
@@Gabriel_the_Shemite don't have to worry about that
