Dr Pepper has always been my favorite soda. Had a chance to visit the museum in my teens and got to try an original fountain style freshly poured. At the time they had an old soda shop bar and it was quite a neat experience.

Diet Dr Pepper is probably the only soda I've had that tastes better than the normal, non-diet. Only cuz the normal Dr Pepper is way too sweet. I like the diet. It's the only diet soda that I don't have to lie when I say I like it like i do with other diet sodas cuz I only drink diet. Every once in a while, I'll buy a regular Coke and drink a few sips and toss the rest.

My dad worked for 7up. One Halloween, we handed put cans of dr pepper. 35 years later, people still remind me of it.
I love Dr Pepper. I've been drinking it since I was 13. Been pregnant twice. Drank it through both pregnancies.

Another Great Texas Invention! When I was growing up in Nashville in the late 60s we used to go to the local Soda Shop and they would serve us Piping Hot Dr Pepper. It was great for cold Winter days!

In my part of Texas, drinking hot Dr. Pepper with lemon during the winter was very popular when I was a kid in the 80s. I don't know if people in my area do it anymore. Dublin will be the only one outside of, I think, Mexico that uses cane sugar if you don't add in places where HFCS is illegal.

I drink frickin Dr Pepper to drink FRICKIN DR PEPPER
For years, I drank 4 -20 oz cans of Cherry Dr Pepper everyday. My doctor told me that there was an enormous amount of gray, dead tissue stuff in my stomach and to quit drinking it if I wanted to live.
Instead of getting coke and stuff for parties or even to drink at the house, my parents would get diet Dr Pepper and I love it to this day. I haven’t first tried coke until I was 14! It blew my mind.

You can also make Dr Pepper ribs..using it as a marinated. Pour over ribs overnight. Add BBQ sauce, liquid smoke, garlic..Soya sauce. toss the sauce out the next day..& add fresh BBQ sauce before cook in oven..add a green onion..& a little Dr. Pepper before it's done. You don't really taste the cola, it just tenderize the meat..But, it does give it a little flavor..😊 👍👍
If I drink a can of Dr Pepper within 30 minutes of waking up (exclusively from a can, nothing else) I do find myself visiting the bathroom throughout the day with the Hershey squirts, but other than that, I’m addicted to it and it never gives me that affect. That’s my take on the prune juice theory

This is all I drink. I drink it like water. A friend I use to know, he drank Dr Pepper all the time. He wouldn't let anybody drink out of his bottle. We went off with some friends of ours. I ran out of Coke before we could stop again. He gave me his bottle and told me to take a drink of this. He hands me his bottle of Dr Pepper. He told me he said once you start drinking Dr Pepper you ain't gone want to drink anything else. He was right. I don't drink anything but Dr Pepper

Dr. Pepper wanted to complain about ginger ale not having enough ginger in it but I figured you know it's flavored with ginger but if you got an upset stomach that Canada Dry Ginger Ale will make you feel better every time I can't say the same for dr. Pepper even though I like it if you've got indigestion drink Canada Dry Ginger Ale and forget the pills the ginger ale will work better it works for me every time. There's got to be something to it.

We even had a handle that made any (old style, bottom ridged 1970's) canned soda or beer can into a mug! Alas, we stupidly threw it away when can bottoms changed shape. Nobody knows what we're talkin' about - even old people.
I DO remember those handles but had forgotten about them until you mentioned it!

Did I already tell about the half gallon plastic contraption that held a half gallon paper carton of milk? It had a square bottom with an inch tall sides, a strap around the top portion that reached about an inch from the bend of the carton top out of which was carved "milk" repeatedly three times on one side three times on the other ,and on the opposite side of the pitcher-like handle was a curved flat piece smaller in the center than at both ends, of course, which was the width of the top and bottom of the thing.
So, it had the curve of a woman's waist on the side that you pour out of, a short box at the bottom, the band at the top, and a sort of pitcher-like handle, attached to the other womanly curved flat side - not the ewer style that looks like a big ear from which they get that saying, "little pitchers have big ears" , meaning children are Within earshot. It was a wonderful doodad that milk carton holder thingy.
@@karenmullen3210 I have a bad case of 'Pack Ratitis' so it's quite possible I still have the handle. I will need to look for it during the upcoming Spring Cleaning. I rarely throw anything that looks like it can still be used away, that's why I'll die of old age in my house. After 43 years of living here I couldn't imagine having to pack everything up.

Is it its anniversary or something? Last night I watched the try channel taste it. It's my favorite soda, has been since I was kid, but I can't drink it unless is morning because otherwise it'll keep me up at night. The only caffeine I have near regularly is coffee. I can't do caffeinated soda vey often. Fortunately, they make decaffeinated Dr Pepper now!😍 (But I should be trying to cut back on sugar. Diet soda just doesn't taste the same. And I can only find the decaf by the case, no six packs or single bottles.)
