Speaking as a photographer and a studying cinematographer, the filter really helps make this look more real as it makes it just look like a movie. However, I'm blown away at how unbelievably real it looks!!!!!!!!!!
In the movies, when in the Matrix, everything is tinted green.
@Eric Porter there is, and in fact, it actually makes the game look even better. So, I was wrong, the filter isn't making it look more real, lol.

Unbelievably real?? When your car still works after a 95 mph collision?
You can still tell they're frames of destruction details vs. physics based ones like BeamNG. It's like a next level GTA5 style. Not bad, but still not nearly the same physics detail.

you may be thinking it's a next level GTA5, but reminds me alot of GTAIV
GTA V with next level graphics is wonderful, but still lacks far behind on detail and lifelike appearance. The 3D detail of the rooms inside each building and the more detailed facades of the buildings (and many other aspects that I'm not even aware of) makes this far more detailed. I see no comparison between the GTA V with next level graphics and this. Also, 60fps helps this game look more lifelike too with the motion and this video was not uploaded in 60fps.

I do hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the only companies that have the money time and man power to turn out games such as this are like EA, Activision/Blizzard and the like. And we all know what happens then, they end up a buggy steaming pile of shit, with impressive graphics at 12 fps. LMAO

I heard about this yesterday and got super-excited, so you can imagine my disappointment at finding out it was console only. It makes sense though - they wouldn't want the mod community getting their hands on it before they had a chance to finish it properly.
There won't be a full game of this. It's just a promo stuff for the new Matrix movie and the new Unreal engine. But as it uses Unreal, I would be surprised if no one would port it to PC at some point. As it happened to P.T. it will happen to this too.

Soft body physics wise I think it's just better then ok
The body panel deformation is pretty good but the non crumble-zone of the car seems too rigid
Unlike wreckfest, wich the hole car can get squashed and bent.
Haven't played wreck fest but how does it compare to beamng?
@@talldude8155 beam ng is a sim, wreckfest is more arcade feeling I guess.

@@breakingames7772 BeamNG is a sim, but they are making leaps with that game in the last year-year in a half.
On my g920 wreckfest feels the most life-like of any game I've played.
This is what I expected from cyberpunk, now this is some pod racing.

Surprisingly, Cyberpunk's damage model for cars is way better than expected
It's toned down a lot on consoles though
Just imagine if GTA6 gets all of this cool new stuff. The amount of shear detail is gonna be NUTS
which is why i believe rockstar should take its take time perfecting gta 6 rather than rush it

GTA 5 just gets re-released for PS5 Pro in 8k
they allready patented an ai traffic thing that will rule the npc driving behavior. specially focusing on emergency stuff like police firetrucks and ambulances. they also handle the braking behavior with an ai. so they are able to perform emergency braking and fullstops.

Dont like that ALL the cars you shoot just instantly go into a barrel roll and there all the same crash
Also no bullet shells. Ever.
And the cars feel really light, for example when you crash at 100mph it's just a bumper coming off or a bit of a cave in instead of the entire thing crumbling. Still for a tech demo it's epic
Not the same, digital foundry did some test and it is completely dynamic.

This Tech Demo is pretty tasty, Its defo gonna up the gaming experience for the new games coming to console & PC with this new engine. It still has the game graphics, way people move etc as it all seems pretty procedural to me, with no independent thought from the AI Cars/people. Don't get me wrong I am blown away with the look and I am excited for the next set of games. But its still way way way off from looking photo realistic. The colours are way off to give the photo real experience. I work in TV/Film within VFX so I have a different perspective..

Remember, folks: this is a tech demo. It’s not a full demo nor game nor anything other than a showcase of some of the tech and “what might be.” Like the BNG tech demo, the actual game will be much more. Also, the new Matrix movie is supposedly playing off the idea that the previous movies were actually movies and that “Neo” is an actor in the world of the Matrix. I could definitely be wrong. I can’t remember where I saw that theory.

@@slonky821 While I don't play this sim, how come BeamNG is still in alpha in 2021? The graphics are amazing, and then number of glitch artifacts have decreased. Plus also, this game came out in 2013 (8 yrs ago), so it should be in final, or at least a late beta by now. Lol... Just sayin'.
BTW, I discovered the BeamNG community when watching CarPal, WhyBeAre and Muye back in 2017 and 2020 to current time. :)
Your not wrong about that theory, we can only hypothesize tbh. I thought the same thing like if it was the Truman show, an awakening within a show, and this last movie would be like breaking the 4th wall comming into our world or something. That would be an epic plot

I must agree, when this come out to PC it will blow me out . The shading and graphics itself is almost like real life I mean they represented the matrix style pretty good... It does look like an actual film

@@deffycool It will. Also dirt and ground deformations (height maps were added in the last update so they are preparing for Snow Runner styled terrain physics)

The soft body physics of the cars were really close to gta IV, gta IV was so ahead of its time I wonder why gta v ended up like that

Watching this game makes me nostalgic, I remember the first matrix movie
The starter car being a camaro ss/rs just made me literally explode with happiness.
The truck looks like a combo of a 2004-2008 Ford F-150 front, 2009-2014 Ford F-150 rear, both gen side, Lincoln Blackwood, Lincoln Mark LT of both gens (2nd gen; Mexican market only version), 1999-2016 Ford Super Duty side door handles
Also, the drop down window has changed to straight across like older Ford trucks and all other trucks!!

My jaw dropped when i learned the crashes weren't scripted at all on the "on rails" sequence. It's impressive to have everything running at the same time.
rule based means that there is only going to be certain objects in certain areas based on a set of rules like an algorithm for clutter. the reason they have the cars is to show that the polygons used to make textures can now be used as deformable objects like cars making the engine extremely efficient. the textures are all slightly lower detail with extreme resolution and a groundbreaking lighting system that hides all the other imperfections a game could have. i dont think alot of gaming companies today realize that you can have sub par graphics with an extremely well done lighting system and have a triple A looking title that beats things like cyberpunk with half the graphical demand.

the shooting tyre scenes reminds me of the old james bond games 007 i think it was, at the time is seemed great like this. shoot tyres and watch cars explode and flip.
