I just love him, and his music. His songs make you feel like coming home.
"One day you'll understand." That's so beautiful. The 12 to 16 years can be horrible but your kids eventually LIKE you again. My Mom told me & I told my daughter as well, "I know you love me, no matter how much you wanna act like you don't right now." She is 24 now & on her own and she calls me & her Daddy every day. Hang in there Lyle! I had my only child when I was 38. All my friends' kids were learning to drive & my kid was learning to tie her shoes :)
Got to hear Lyle last night in Jackson, MS. What a tremdous thrill to listen to he and his band pour their hearts out for 2 1/2 hours.
I am so happy he has a wife & children. I wished I met him before his wife😂😂. I wish he & his wife & children all the blessings💜
I can't even WAIT to hear anything Lyle might write about this past year, or really the past TWO years! But literally nothing rhymes with "Unprecedented." Thank God.
He is back on tour again, thank goodness. One of the songs he plays n sings is "Twelfth of June." It pertains to the birth of the twins. I think there are a few live clips of him here on CZcams of him singing it. The words are beautiful. He was supposed to have released an album of late but I imagine Covid caused delays but he says this year it's coming.
Also look for "Pants Is Overrated." 🤭
I hope that doesn't pertain to Covid.
I'm so glad he is a dad. Those children are incredibly lucky. Lyle is a good man. ❤️
@@getmeouttatennessee4473 I will look up everything!! Just tonight I sent my friend the song Pontiac because his Dad recently passed at age 99. While cleaning out his Dad's house, my friend found his Dad's Purple Heart from WW1 and his own son had no idea. His Dad's name was Pete & he liked to sit out on his porch till all hours of the night. I ALREADY couldn't listen to that song without tearing up & now this...
Have loved Lyle since 1986 and ""I Can't Resist It" along with the rest of his debut album, and boy, did Pontiac up his game significantly! Still my favorite album of his. It is weird to see the relaxed look of his hair here. From "Eraserhead" to a modified mullet!
i've seen a lot of great artists (musicians) play music but I have never seen anyone better then Lyle Lovett and his big band - amazing !!!! Lyle is such a great guy , musician and very , very funny
This shows how deserving of respect Lyle truly is.
He looks good and healthy.
