- This Schimmel grand piano has a HUGE punch! We love getting Schimmels in at Stilwell because they are so easy to work on and even easier to sell! They are very affordable hand made german pianos that fully envelope the german sound and feel. Just listen to this thing!
This is 1977 a Schimmel grand piano, this is a six-foot, and are unique pianos for us because they are German but they're fairly big company and they're fairly well represented in the United States so we see them a little more often than we see other German brands. This schimmel grand piano was started in 1885 in Germany and it is still to this day owned majority by family and ran by family. When stuff like that is done including our business they tend to pay attention a little bit more to detail.

Nicole Pesce is literally the best I've ever seen, hands down. There isn't a genre of music she isn't a master of and the fluidity combined with the velocity of her runs is unmatched.

Fats Waller, Art Tatum, Oscar Peterson, Chic Corea, many others.
She plays alright, but always races through a popular song at FF with overdone sloppy pyrotechnics to impress the naive listener.
She does not demonstrate the important topics: the piano's nuance, colors, or dynamic range.

The majority of Schimmel is owned by the Chinese company pearl piano company since 2018.

From what I have heard is that Pear River is letting them still do there own thing over in Germany. Pearl River has since come out with the Fridolin Schimmel brand which uses scale designs from Schimmel with different materials and Chinese manufacturing. From whatvI have read they use quite a few European materials in the construction.
