Great starter tutorial. Would love to see this expanded to animating arms, legs, etc. Thanks, Casey!
Would love a beginning to end tutorial on something like this.
I'm loving that you're diving into expressions. So handy.
Love to see more! Had no idea you could do this! Thanks, Casey
Yes, more about animation, please. I've been doing it frame-by-frame in Photoshop, then importing the stills into Davinci, doing the audio and etc. It takes FOREVER, though. Been thinking of ways to do more (or all) of it in Davinci, streamline it a bit. So, this's awesome, got the wheels turning, thank you much.
I love this! I'm finding that, 3D aside, I do more and more of my workflow solely in DaVinci. As someone who animates a lot of nonsense in Fusion, this is going to save me so much time scrolling back and forth to different nodes.
I wish I knew this a few weeks back when I was animating a whole bunch of nodes independently and keyframing one thing at a time. Took forever. I was happy with it until I saw this.
EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED AT THE PERFECT TIME. you never disappoint!
This inspires me to dip into some light cartoon work, maybe. Might be fun! Good video, Casey!
YESSSSS. I'm starting an animated education channel and this will help soo much. THANKS
This is HUGE!!! Thank you, Casey!
That's really cool! I love Resolve.
You're the goat, love the content, I always learn so much when I come here.
Your channel is pure gold for people learning Fusion!
Great as always love to see more!
Yes please more of this!
Great tutorial I'm new to this and would love to see more keep at it and look forward to seeing more of your amazing content
IT BLEW MY MIND THANKS!
Would LOVE to see you dive more into this
I’m not joking I literally just designed a logo for the very first time for my friend over the weekend and I was watching videos on things I could do for animating it. This couldn’t be better timing 😂
🤯
Thank you Casey!
Would love to see more of this
you are a genius, please go on with this argoment, thanks for your video
This is super cool! Can you deep dive this more please?
Yes please!
Great fun to draw the little monster and animate it!
Great tutorial! Super helpful :)
Wow, rigging in Resolve! As a Blender user who has been farting around with motion graphics in Resolve, my mind is blown. All I can say is *DUDE!*
gonna need to watch this a couple times 😅👍
Fantastic! It's blendshapes like Autodesk Maya but for Davinci
Yessssssss!
supercool!
Neat!
wow
coming from Houdini which is a node based 3D Software that you can use expressions and code there to do literally anything, and parameter channel referencing is a basic thing there, didn't think that fusion has that, it's awesome.
Thank you for all of your great tutorials on Fusion, are you compositing renders from 3D software's? like the AOV's passes and all
Thanks!
Hey that's awesome! Thank you!!!
Do we want more? Damn right we do.
😮 wooooweeee
I want more stuff like this!!!! Thinking of animating our logo which our two French bulldogs. Want to make them talk lol 😂
Casey Faris is a baller.
Boost 🎉
show me what you can do with this? create a full explainer video with characters like after effects people do and maybe explore some of the limitations Fusion has vs after effects for character rigging and animation vs duick basil in after effects
Any insights will be nice. So let's say I have 2 characters I made and I want to move them separately but transform can only move 1 or both of them at the same time. How do I separately move 2 different characters in a single mediaout? Much appreciated thank you.
Awesome, a proper deep fake tutorial aha
If you record a product moving how to you make it spin Like a punch in or fly though in this program your talking about ? Can you help? Or can anyone explain. Thanks
Very cool! By the way, what software are you using to screen record these tutorials?
My guess: OBS (Open Broadcaster Software)
@@MasterIvo Pretty sure you can't do the zooms and cursor highlighting with OBS alone unless there is some plug-in for it that I am unaware of.
@@13Cubed record, you asked. edited (zooml in...
and cursor highlight is an app
How to do the so called rotator ?
Is there a way to set min and max values for these sliders and stuff? Most rigs do this so you never overshoot a joint or whatever. Also is there a way to switch images? Advanced character rigs have ways of switching body parts so, for example, a flat hand to a fist or a normal eye to a sparkly eye. Is there a way to do that with a Fusion rig? If you can make a full blown advanced character rig I can imagine it being really powerful even if you made each body part outside of davinci. Especially since davinci is free and I don't know of any character animation program that is. OH also bone linking! So if you rotate the hips it rotates the whole torso, I'm guessing it's just a matter of strategically linking values to sliders in a parent to child fashion but I would absolutely dig a full, in depth look at what you can and cannot do with a Fusion character rig!
Yep you can do all of that for sure. I'll have more vids on this very soon
Yes! great to know this. still very non intuitive
Over 15 years of using After Effects, expressions have become an inevitable part of my workflow.
Seeing this is just one of the last thing I want to see about fusion to help me definitively quit Adobe.
Is there a puppet pin tool or some deforming mesh nodes in Fusion?
There is a grid warp tool that gives a warping effect
@@jasonavila_camOP_DP_Actor can this warping effect be controled by expressions or controlers ?
Let's say I want to rig a character same way DUIK does in Ae. Can we do that in Fusion ?
Thanks for the reply.
Thank you. but i don't see the link on how to do that character.
Yep our bad. This vid was supposed to come out AFTER the one that's linked... but they got switched. So... in a couple day's we'll have the other vid!
At 0:20 - I've rewatched several times to find the link he references, but it doesn't appear for me. Is it just my browser (Chrome) misbehaving, or can you guys not see that link either?

@@CaseyFaris With the way Chrome reacts to different pages anymore, I can never tell. Thank you for clarifying! I look forward the next vid. 👍
