I can't even begin to understand why anyone would think it's remotely okay to try and kidnap someone. If it was genuinely a concern for safety based on what sur said why didn't they call an ambulance to escort him? especially since paramedics would have some training with an unstable individual. Also why the moving truck? His stuff is shared with his wife were they planning on kicking her out too? Did they really think that after they committed the husband their daughter would really be okay with Sue moving back in? Not to mention the whole "you can move back in when nephew is older." Did they expect their daughter to just be okay that her husband won't live with her so that so her sister could live rent free with her for the rest of her life? I sincerely doubt the wife even if Sue wasnt trying to get OP committed would let her stay for years and years on end with no plan to leave. I'm glad the parents saw reason in the end, but it's clear they weren't acting in good faith either. My guess is Sue is the golden child who can do no wrong and the wife is just expected to care for her when things go south. What happened in the end is honestly the best thing that could've happened I hope OP and his wife are doing well now.
