I’ve been playing for years and I’ve half-cheeked my way with pvm which caused me to fall below the curve as new bosses came out which required accuracy and dedication to learning/practicing. I was always so intimidated by higher level bossing so I've stuck mostly to all the God Wars Dungeon 1 bosses including Nex and Corporeal Beast. Your channel helped me overcome that intimidation and made the daunting task of killing the newer bosses seem more reasonable.
@@whotfdis okay, improving once you've ironed out all the easy things which help (eg better gear) does usually involve starting to work on the harder things which also give a boost (switches, 4taa etc). It's the same with all things in life, not just RuneScape. If you don't want to get to the best of the best you don't need to do this, you can comfortably do all bosses in the game on laid-back Revo, it's been proven plenty of times

Just returning to RS3 after 1 year break and loving your channel! Would be cool to have a "DPS Advanced Guide" from you where you'd explain every little trick in the book concerning abilities, stalls and other tricks people know from speed kills!
Very good video. While I don't think I'll be copying your binds because of what I already have setup there was still a lot of good stuff - for example doubling the prayer binds so I don't miss click when holding shift/not holding shift down. Taking the time to think about how to make each combat style setup similar and make sure each is setup thoughtfully and comfortably was a good way to take a step back and analyze the binds I had and make a few adjustments. Great job!
I guess I'm just incompetent, but I've never been able to reliably use alt/ctrl/shift + other keys with rs3. 50% of the time, I end up just hitting the key without the alt, or both actions take place when I only wanted the one. I've tried to practice this, but I just can't do them with high enough accuracy. There are so many key-binds you need to have for pvm, without the combo binds it is difficult.

Me personally, I put all of my defensives on my mouse side-keys, all centered around the shield switch, meaning that I simply hit the shield switch and move my thumb in a specific direction for a specific ability. I then have 4 switches on the far corner numbers, my main weapons on the corners closer to me, and misc switches on the numbers farthest from me.
Here I am, after years of denying RS3, playing OSRS, never thought I would have setup keybinds in RS Gotta agree, the game is fantastic, there are a few cons but rs3 is getting better and it feels good playing an updated version with good graphics

You know something... i know a lot of people use qwer as they base for keybinds (myself included) and there's nothing wrong with that but... if you are new to keybinds i would prolly recommend much more to use wert as your base if you haven't got used to it yet cause it have a bigger advantage to set more keybinds in the long run, i just cannot bring myself to relearn my keybinds from 0 again but if i would be knew to it i would def do it with wert as baseline just throwing this up.
@@tahersiddique8707 if QWER are your home abilities, and you need another ability close by, you need to bind T if you need another ability and asdf are already bound... well... good luck trying to hit Y. However if you have wert as your home keys, you can bind q and y and hit them no problem
My protection prayers are QSD (ASD for qwerty) i find it more convenient for prayer flicking. Food and potions are AZ (QW for qwerty) because it easier to eat in case of emergency or drink restore if prayer fall to zero. Thresold ability and ultimate are binded to 1,2,3,4 and basic that i rarely trigger manually are the other number after 5 ( if playing full manually it would be not convenient). The key idea is to have all the most important key bind near my left hand.

Actually go into detail, like how many action bars you actually use (is 15 overkill?), show each action bar that you have binded to certain combat styles? (i.e. 2H Melee, DW Melee, 2H Ranged, DW Ranged, 2H Magic, DW Magic, Nex, Raksha, etc.) It would be MUCH MUCH appreciated! Thank you SO much in advance!
Damn this is really great I think I will try out these keybinds for myself and maybe move towards revo instead of revo++, these keybinds make a lot of sense to me I've just had a hard time figuring out what works best for my own keybindings so I will definitely try this out!
great video ryan, except for the fact that each mouse is different also, so with exception to what ur using, it really makes a huge difference buying the right mouse that suits the player and how they use it, i use a logitech and its rly not worked out for me so decide to try out a razer naga and see if that makes any difference, hope you have recovered from the crash that was really shitty what happened for some players, ive seen a few crash during telos battles now, hopefully will get fixed soon gl bro

Finally someone who uses ALT as a modifier and not shift.. hitting ALT is so much more comfortable with your thumb that hitting shift with the pinky! one question, since you rebound WASD, what do you use to rotate the camera? Good guide!
something i like doing is i have a mouse similar to rsguys (logitech g600)set all easiest to get to side buttons to 1,2,3,4,5,6 then the other 6 buttons are qwe/asd respectivly for each row, then by having that i have my 3rd mouse main button (ie theres left click,middle(normal rightclick) and my extra being the new right click button which i set to shift, which for ability bars effectivly doubles each keys use, then i only use my left hand for hitting ctrl and alt making my mouse able to use every single ability i use, this is very effective for people with small hands or if you have a lot of wrist trouble as your hand isnt straining for anything
Very Very Very great video me pvm skills just got 50% boost :) it will be hard at first to get used to YOUR keybinds but i know they are much better then mines so i must get used to it
I have a primary and secondary bar for each style, the primarys have abilites dw and 2h and the secondary has switches that way i never have to remember to change all the switches for each style i can just swap the bar, 1 bar for defensives one that has prayers and abilities you can use with all styles, sigil, onslaught etc. the last bar on screen has ring swaps/food/potions, mobility surge/barge/bd/escape and veng/disruption shield etc
Literally yesterday I was thinking about exploiting my Razer Naga mouse more because I really only used about 4-5 of the keybinds on it, and also about changing my keybinds that I'd been using pretty much since EoC came out and were really ineffective, such as having surge/food/brew on every bar. It's taken me about 2 hours to copy most of your keybinds setup, and I'm determined to learn how to use them properly, even if that means a couple weeks away from real PvMing and sticking to KBD/Graardor. Thanks.

I got a question, when you switch to shield to use resonance, how do you switch back to your staff properly? Do you also got a keybind for your staff near them or do you just click the staff in your inventory?
I think I might copy your key binds ice wanted to learn 4taa And the ring switches on the mouse wheel are so nice!!! My food is on my keyboard and it keeps me from doing dps if I have to stop to eat food. So the solid/brew on mouse is also a fantastic idea If you have updated key binds for 2020 I'd love to see an updated video!
How effective are you at soul split flicking while being on full manual? Seems difficult to be hitting 4 5 6 keys while triggering offensives. I like my prayer switches on my mouse personally so the 2 don't interfere but I would like some extra real estate on the mouse keys. Just curious what your hand technique is there

I notice a lot of the times I'm not attacking because I just assumed the ability would go off when the next ability is up. can recommend taking off your keys and washing them once in a while, makes they keyboard feel brand new without actually spending the money.
i already was using these keybinds, just abilities were in wierd spots and felt wierd thanks for an idea to help clear things up!
You have to buy all 10 actionbars in order to have 2h, dw for each style and 4 additional bars on screen for everything else which can really add up

I feel like it is easier to bind alt and control to your mouse so your hand doesnt need to contort around.

I do have a question though (or moreso a comment) Since the change to paging swaps, do you have any information on setting up the "additional action" bars ? I would love to have bars that I can reliably have weapon/defensive swaps for each style, as well as my normal "primary" rotation bar.
My key bound items aren't lit up it doesn't do anything.. it's like a dark Grey white

Hi Ryan! Thanks for the great video. recently started working on full manual and this is really helping! One question I have, why is it that people don't use ability queuing? I notice a lot of the times I'm not attacking because I just assumed the ability would go off when the next ability is up. Is this a way to like cancel attacks and switch to different abilities faster? Thanks for the vids as always!
I miss the ranged style. And keybinds on mouse but then what is used for melee etc.

Tha Flakes i have the logitech g502 u cant keybind that many of buttons, i only keybind the shift key on my g502
