- First start and drive of a 1937 Unstyled John Deere B that was disassembled and in storage for over 20 years. Originally shipped to Benson Minnesota on December 19th 1936

I seem to remember my father running a V-belt from our JD110 garden tractor to the pulley of the clutch to start ours when we first got it 50+ years ago.

It's the wrong color lol, still good tractor though. Grew up on paps veggie farm running a narrow front wc's an a narrow front 56 wd45 diesel. An a ac 200 with cab, moline z narrow front an 52 jd model m. So we had all colors an the diesel wd45 was by far my favorite.
anytime a old tractor 🚜 has been sitting that U should take a chain and another tractor and pull it 2 start it gas or diesel it doesn't matter 😊😊 dang all cranking and it doesn't even putt and when U pull them the engine turns much faster and soon it should start IVE seen tractors U would crank on them w a old hand crank until U were blue in the face 😮😮 and U still gotten no where yet take a chain and pull it some of them U would pull 10 feet and they would start and run all tractors aren't the same they have there own personality if the carb or magneto needs 2 be rebuilt then do so it will save alot of head ache later on 😊😊 OMG 9 23 2O23
Now the next step is to pretty her up with a new paint job and decals...

It didn't have the decompression petcocks to make for easier cranking?
I guess the unstyled b didn't have those? I know my 35 A does
Some of the early ones didn't, first few years of production they didn't include the petcocks.
Hook a chain up to it and break it to lead!! Screw all that jacking around with spinning the flywheel.
On an engine like this that’s been sitting for 20 years the first time you try to start it you do it gently!
