    Can you take curcumin by simply taking turmeric or does it have to be extracted?

      Are you asking if there is benefit from drinking red wine? There isn't.
      Studies that suggested a benefit from moderate alcohol consumption misclassified prior drinkers who quit as "never drinkers": once that was corrected, the j-shaped curve disappears.
      The healthiest dose of alcohol is zero.

    I am 75 years old mail with a long history for eosinophilia ; COPD; prediabetic and morbidity obèses combined with sinus problems as well as GI problems associated with eosinophilia. In addition to my prescription meds i have used a variety of supplements over the years that I know kept my eosinophilia under control. Especially Quercetin and D3
    Recently I was tested for MGUS and is positive for elevated M proteins found in both my urine and blood; so the VA Hospital is sending me to Specialists and a several tests including a bone marrow biopsy.
    I guess I will give what you said I try as I do not want the general treatment offered no matter what. Thank you and at what dose and how often should I try Curcumin

    I've heard consuming more than 1 teaspoon of turmeric per day increased risk of kidney stones. But if the disease was really progressing, I suppose I would risk the stones. 😳
    Also re: turmeric vs curcurmin, I believe the whole is more than the sum of its parts, so I skip curcurmin in favor of turmeric itself.

    • @HealthTreeForMyeloma
      @HealthTreeForMyeloma  Před 2 lety +2

      Hi Joshua! I asked Dr. Golombick about your question and she said patients with kidney problems will need to be carefully monitored while taking curcumin. She has not personally had anyone develop kidney stones.
