The HealthTree Foundation for Multiple Myeloma (previously known as the Myeloma Crowd) empowers patients with multiple myeloma at each step of their disease journey - from diagnosis, through education, care and on to a cure. The HealthTree Foundation does this through three areas of support; simplified patient education, support research driven by patient needs, and the use of data to solve patient and research problems.

I begin this treatment next week. Unfortunately this video does not give any useful information to a patient.
Can you take curcumin by simply taking turmeric or does it have to be extracted?
What is your opinion of studies on the effect of Curcumin / Turmeric on mild MGUS
the best !
Best of the future for you Audrey. I don't think I ever said a formal thank you. Your cool demeaner and knowledge meant more to me than I ever expressed.
Audrey, good bye and good luck.
What genomic abnormalities would serve as an alert or classification of high risk Smoldering?
If you have del17p, translocation of 4;14 or 14;20 or 14;16 or usually a 1q gain, these would all be considered higher risk. if you have more than one of these, it is called double or triple hit and is definitely considered higher risk.
Repurpose drugs cool😮
Thank you Audrey, your words inspire others to continue helping others.
What an informative presentation. Thank you.

Can an NGS test be done on biopsy samples which have been stored?
Thank you, Audrey! You’ve made a positive difference in many lives 💕
Goodbye thank you for all of your work. ☺️
This has been extremely educational by this webinar. Thank you
You're so welcome, we're glad this was helpful to you!
I am both intrigued and excited about the outcome possible after CarT?
It makes one wonder how important manintiance would with a patient who is MRd positive. Yet M spike is no longer detected (after Bone marrow transplant )
This was so helpful. Trying to understand the significance of MRD positive & MRD negative and goals. This has been informative 😊
Awesome
Excellent presentation....

I have seen some women on CZcams screaming while having injections into their ports. Why are they having so much trouble when others seem not to have pain?
Thank you for this presentation. This has been very informative and helpful.

I'm a multiple myeloma cancer patient..Dr Martin is my Favorite doctor. I'm part of the Teclistamab
Dexamethasone a poison to the fron lobe brain . lucky if you recover at all. people shoul be sueing. how about take this to court.
CAR T is far better, Its more specific and targeted CURE, also with CAR T you develop an immune response that stays in your body for a long time surveying your blood if indeed it came back to knock it out fast. Transplant is also a CURE but its a long road 6 months + time sacrifice with a lot more potential side effects and you have to be in isolation and on antibiotics. I think CAR T and other immune treatments will be the Cures of Cancers. Cancers should not happen anyways as the immune system should identify them but sometimes they develop resistance a bit like antibiotic resistance but in a different way. So we just need to tell the bodies immune system to recognise the cancer cells and Grap on to their receptors to irradicate it, I don't think its difficult, I just feel that a lot of companies make a lot of money selling crappy old chemotherapy liquids that don't work a lot of times.
Put a mask around that laser printer. I’d be more worried about that. You know how much dust and particles get into the air when that thing is used.
Planet Ayurveda has the best solution for Amyloidosis. Their treatment is effective and natural.
I’m currently in the mgus stage of multiple myeloma and around 2017 is when the doctors started to monitor the m.m. Before that date I don’t have any medical knowledge of the illness . All I was told is there’s something we’re monitoring which left me confused . Approximately two or so years ago the doctors started watching more frequently as my m spike was increasing . My question is I get told that I’m at a 7 and insurance won’t cover treatment until I’m at a 10 . What do these numbers mean ? My myeloma IGG LAMBA is effecting the white blood cells . My entire body has some form of illness including Crohn’s which I get the skyrizi shots . This would be too long if I was to give a list . I was in utero and born at camp Lejeune during the water contamination and belong to the current lawsuit . Many of the poisons in the water have a high likelihood of causing multiple myeloma . If any of your viewers were at Camp Lejeune between 1953 and 1987 for at least 30 days consecutive or non consecutive . They have until August 10 , 2024 to file a claim before the deadline . After that date they’re S.O.L. . Thanks for your time I would like to add that over the last 2 years I have done intensive research to educate myself on the subject .
Thank you professor!
Excellent presentation by Dr. Rubinstein. He clarified a lot of things for me.. One thing I noticed is that there was no mention of the use of Dexamethasone in maintenance therapy. Makes me wonder if Dex is even necessary at this point (I'm almost 2 1/2 yrs post SCT, still in Complete Response with maintenance of Ninlaro, Rev, Dex). This may be a case of the negative side effects (no sleep on Dex day!) outweighing the benefits. I'm going to ask my oncologist about it at our next visit.
I'm almost 3 years post SCT. I take Darzalex and Pomalyst and have taken any dex since a month after SCT.
Excellent! Thank you
We're glad you found this helpful!
are you still around?
Can you say what low dose amounts worked?
Hello I could cry this was so very informative! I was diagnosed last June with MGUS and sediment rate high first time now. Things off but m protein not present. I have peripheral neuropathy. Lessons in my brain. The answers are finally coming!!
Glad you found it helpful! We are here to support you as much as we can with this information.
How is she doing?
I am 77 years old. have been taking Quercetin 500 mg twice a day along with Vitamin D3 and other supplements and my kappa/ Lambda light chain ratio is now improving. No Paraprotein seen in my blood or urine. But my Hypogammaglobulimia remains. My symptoms of severe fatigue; weak legs; and inability to exercise; along with edema in my legs; medication treated congested heart failure; and Carpal Tunnel syndrome remains. My diabetes is diet controlled. I am thinking of asking my cardiologist for a cardiac biopsy to rule out light chain AL. Does this make sense? I presumed my MGUS resulted in a 5O years progression from drinking the toxic water at Camp Lejuene and the Agent Orange I was exposed to in Vietnam Nam. Thanks
Have you considered doing any studies on people with mgus or worse that have been affected by the poisoned water at the Camp Lejeune water contamination site from 1953 to 1987 . Especially those of us that were in utero and during the first few years of life .
Great info John D

Great presentation. I'm almost three years into my high risk MM journey and I learned more watching this than I have from my MM specialist. Happy to share that I'm still in CR more than two years post-SCT!
3 years here in September.
