This is so apt! Cause Cory has such an anointing to be an inspiration and an image for young men to look up to. Exemplary as it pertains to being a man who loves God, a husband and even a father as the season changes. Wow, I'm so glad someone saw this prophetically too cause our young men need more examples of Christ-like believers as the world grows darker.

Especially about Jesus weeping, because I read John 11 last month and I was confused on why Jesus was angry. After hearing the way Cory explains, it was a palm slap against my head and I was like wooooow, that makes so much sense! This whole Bible Study makes sense! I hope you guys could do more in the future if you can! Maybe make a playlist on your channel on Bible study like this. Ill tune in every single one of them. Ill be showing this to my 12 year old while, I, myself will rewatch with her to make sure she understands (I mean, she's at that age of extra emotions) lol

The Bible has so many mention of emotions. Depression (heaviness, downcast soul) like passions (passions is another word for emotions....anger..be angry but don't sin is so powerful along with self control... Grief..He was a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief...He was despised...his soul was sorrowful..we can truly search the Scriptures for everything..

I have to admit, your husband is an excellent, EXCELLENT, teacher in the word. Most people don’t dig into the hows and the whys of scripture, only to bring about doubt. I remember reading that verse about Jesus wept and the righteous anger he felt and was confused on why he’d be angry. But after looking into the original text and doing context study it revealed something to me that I had never realized about Jesus.

I love the story of Lazarus. It's filled with so many fundamental truths. When I was listening to this study, God revealed to me another reason why He wept and how this story simply explains the state of the dead. Throughout Christ ministry, we know He made clear to His disciples that he would die but also proclaimed the hope that He will rise again. This miracle especially for them should've removed all doubt that His life that He unselfishly laid, He indeed had the power to take it back again. This miracle was meant to prove that death had no victory over Him. He is undoubtedly the resurrection and the life. Despite the miracle, unbelief still blinded the people and His death was even at the doors. Heartbreakingly, those who witnessed His power were mingled with those who shouted "crucify Him!" Lord, have mercy.
As for the state of the dead, Jesus likened death unto sleep, Martha understood that once someone dies, their body stays in the grave until the resurrection at the last day (the second coming of Jesus Christ). The point was deepened because even after 4 days, Lazarus body was still in the grave. So this story abolishes the belief of someone going straight to heaven or hell. It's just so mind blowing!! Wow. It's beautiful how the Bible is its own interpreter and Isaiah 28:10 tells us the formula on how to understand scripture in its proper context alongside understanding historical settings, authorship, theme, book title & etc. (Study Bibles are great) and checking the Hebrew/Greek Interlinear.
I'm excited for more sessions like this and you & Cory's journey on studying God's precious word. I get so excited meditating on His truths and I can tell that Cory does too. This is truly his spiritual gift/talent. Blessings to you two and everyone! 🥰
