Yes, the magnetic properties of the pickup can pull the strings sharp.
Hi a stupid question because I'm a beginner, I have Seymour Duncan humbucker pickups and should I measure the height from the flat poles to the screw poles or both?
Not stupid at all. It's usually from the top of screw poles to the strings.
Great info, when pick up gets down any tone effect comes ????
My Jackson Rhoads RRT3 with duncans sounds like crap. The pickups are super high, probabvly less than a millimeter from the strings. I am going to lower them and hopefully that fixes them. Super sensitive harsh and muddy, lowering them better cure it or I am selling it...
All my guitars sound like crap. I figure the greater distance between them and me is the solution to that problem.
@@jankafka7330 That is funny! I just bought the guitar used. I lowered the pick ups, problem solved. Guitar sounds superb I still play horribly though. Third guitar I have bought in several years for unreasonably cheap, third guitar I bought with crazy high pick ups. Moral of story...pickups that are too high cause good guitar deals for me....hahahahahahha
