@@jew-zmc The basic thing to look up is a reverb effect. Its a digital effect that applies an 'echo' to sounds. There's two main types of reverb plugins, algorithmic and convolutional. So a convolver (convolutional reverb) is a particular type of echo effect (not the only one though). Hope this helps!
@@jew-zmc A convolver is a type of reverb that can add a different kind of reverb to a sound. For example a plastic pipe has a different reverb and a metal pipe has a different reverb. A convolution reverb allows you to apply a metal pipe's reverb to a plastic pipe. I have oversimplified a bit but hope this helps you understand.

I feel you. I was born in 91 and graduated HS in 2010. This really does bring me back. Long nightly car drives with my friends to hang out at the beach. I have my first kid on the way due in April 2024. Feels just like yesterday I was goofing around with my friends drinking and playing music.
I was 2 in 2010 lol
But think of how much wiser you are today. You have to be okay with that trade.
2010s music really had a beautiful and mostly wholesome "enjoy the moment" vibe with a lil spice that was so unique.I wish new music felt like that too
It was a time where people were excited about new emerging technologies and the potential of the internet and its exponential rise to make life better. We were optimistic about the future and what it had in store for us. imo, this all started rapidly-dying around 2016. The world just hasn't felt right since, and I'm certainly not optimistic about the future these days - as is the general sentiment for most of us. Pop music generally mimics the feelings of society at large, and imo, this is the kind of music people make when a culture is happy. I'm just glad I was the right age to experience such a great period of time before it went away. We're looking at some very difficult years ahead of us.
Yet back then people would always talk shit about that music like today. What I'm saying is nostalgia really opens up the good side in things.
@AvenirRacing Your last sentence may contain the sentiment that has been poisoning our society since 2016. Everyone seems to have become a damn fortune teller predicting dystopia since then, in an oddly self righteous manner. As if people would rather be right about an awful future than wrong with a brighter future.
I was a teen in the 2010s, as much as it was partying and good vibes, I can tell you there was a whole lot of stuff brewing in the background of everything that is the very reason things have been tough now. A lot of music for example glorified dysfunctional human behavior. You couldn't pay me to go back to those years, 2010s nostalgia is really more about ignorance being bliss. If the 2010s really was good for us we wouldn't be dealing with the cause and effect of it now
@@AvenirRacing Bullshit, we were in a recession at the time. People were losing their homes, jobs, and business. There was no hope that college students could afford college and find jobs, and there was nothing but complaints and pessimism about social media and smartphones. Not to mention, there was an everlasing war in the Middle East, and people literally thought the world was going to end in 2012. There were no good vibes anywhere. You're severely glorifying the past. All of our current problems existed back then. If anything, many things have improved.
Music literally hasn't changed since then. It's all the same writers and artists.

This gives me a weird type of nostalgia. Cause I was 10 when these songs were popular, so I've never listened to them in a "club/party" scenario. It feels like I'm taken back to the "adult"-version of 2010 that I missed out on
bro u hit the nail right on the head i could never put that into words lmao
that's why it makes me so sad to listen to them. i would've loved to be a teenager during this age, now we've just got horribly depressing and shit music
@@_.kalico._ As someone who was in my late teens during this era, it really was a great time to be alive. I've definitely noticed how depressing popular music has become for the most part, and imo, the kind of music a culture puts out is generally tied to the general outlook of the average person, which these days is bleak - but back in 2010, the world was becoming connected, the internet was in full swing, and we were all so optimistic about its potential for good, alongside all the new tech such as smartphones, and how they'd change the world for the better. Hyperpoliticization of every aspect of life wasn't a thing, and we just generally had less to worry about (speaking from the perspective of an 18 year old at the time, keep in mind.)
Technology and the internet were going to change the world and solve so many problems. We were so fucking naive... at least partying was a heap of fun.
@AvenirRacing that's sounds amazing. i can't help but feel like life will never be like that again, and it makes me not want to get out of bed in the morning. my mom always jokes about how the world is going to shit and how she's glad she won't be here for the long run, but what about the rest of us? it seriously keeps me up at night.
i wouldn't loved to been born a just decade earlier. of course i would still have to deal with the world for what it is today, but I would have to do that as an adult with fun memories to look back on. the only thing i can look back on fondly were my super early days when the world seemed like that. sorry for the rant, i'm just depressed and needed to dump it somewhere.
@@_.kalico._ It's alright man. I'm in my early 30's now, so still not what I'd consider old enough to not have to worry about where the world is heading. @@crs2385 That's kinda how it is with everybody. We remember the good things, and forget that at the time, we al thought it sucked. Everyone was pessimistic in the 90s, but now, we all look back on them as awesome because now sucks. And in 30 years, I'll be telling my kids how much that foul year of our Lord 2023 sucked when they're idolizing it for one reason or another.
it was amazing
@ThatGuy67 Maybe man. I will say this though. Even though we maybe dont appreciate the current times while they're happening let's not kid ourselves that some era's were good, and others weren't. Like 2014 for example, at the time I hated it, and 9 years later I still don't miss that year. Not like other years which i really enjoyed like the early 2000s. So even though its true people maybe don't know how good the times are whilst they're happening that doesn't mean they don't still enjoy them, and additionally just because people are having a bad time whilst it's happening that doesn't mean years later they don't still turn out to be bad anyways. These songs before 2016 make me feel some type of way, but it's hard for me to explain it...like sadness and happiness at the same time plus more....
It seems like a forgotten age now, but when you hear it, you are reminded of how it was
It's so sad to see how quickly society has fallen to degeneracy. The re-election of Obama in 2012 was the turning point. Cell phones and social media spelled the doom of our civilization. I'm glad to have been a kid during America's final glory years.

I was 8 in 2010. A 2000s or 2010s-themed party would be so fun. Getting to kind of re-experience your childhood songs as a young adult and feel like the youth did back then. I'd be so down.
I wholly agree. That'd be awesome and I'd probably feel overwhelming nostalgia.
I often play 2000-2010 songs when I have the aux, and I’ve never seen someone not enjoying it… its just so magical
I always feel old in these 2007 to like 2017 bathroom videos. Because I was born in 1995, so I was 15 in this lol 😂 28 this year. Crazy time flies
I'm the same age as you! I think I was in grade 3 during this era. I remember doing come cringe presentation of a Minecraft remix to dynamite for a project... cringe but nostalgic lool
Your profile just flewed me back to this times, man. You're only a year older than me and early 2010s internet, pop music was my everything (beside the final good years of disney, nickelodeon). Im dying for a 2010s themed party
I am 23 now, but I was 10 in 2010. My dad actually works in radio, so not only did I hear these songs in school and on the radio, but I would also hear them when I accompanied him to work on weekends/breaks/sick days. I still have the studio mix cds that had the hottest hits of the time, commodities I probably shouldnt have stuffed in my backpack, but I did. As a kid with a lot of trauma and memory blocks, I cant remember much of my childhood, but I distinctly remember every single song, and exact moments of my life when I would hear them the most. I dont even need to close my eyes, i can picture the surroundings of the station so clearly. I can taste the weird flat bread breakfast sandwiches from the Subway next door to the station. I can remember the old CZcams layout. I remember the empty cafeteria, decked out with streamers, and colorful lights. I can remember pulling my friends out to dance, or going so hard I needed to go sit down and take sips of a soda, because I was anemic and had asthma. I remember the outfits we all wore. Music is amazing, and so is this video.
2010 - the beginning of it all for me. I was in my mid/late teens, 15-16, just started high school, meeting new friends and the very beginning of school dances and what not. It was a lot and 2010 was one of my best years ever.

I'm 26 now, can you give me some advice...does it get better when you get closer to 30? I'm still trying to figure everything out in life...
@@lilmamagc Of course I can! It definitely does get better. Listen, your twenties are for learning who you are. So you might feel like you're behind, but really you're on the exact right track, I promise. You haven't missed the boat, if anything this is just the beginning. Y'know, I got the best job of my life at 27, I moved out at 28, I'm graduating university this year at 32. just imagine how fun it was to be a teenager into the early 2010s
i was, it was amazing but I hated 2010 pop music
I was like 10 years old but damn I gotta tell you that people in those times seemed to have a really good time. I remember when I used to live in my apartment with my fam , we always heard some party going downside us every Friday with these kind of music.... It just warmths my hear to remember these things . Good times
It was alright. I turned 16 in 2010.
It was weird. It’s weird thinking back now that there was a time where people weren’t addicted to their phones. That’s like the biggest thing I notice. Also wtf why are teens now skipping the awkward crispy hair and blue eyeshadow that’s not blended out phase?! (I was 16 in 2010)
I was 17 in 2010. It was ok from 2010-2012. Honestly, it is all nostalgia. Things seem way better than they were when time passes by.
someday i’ll accept that it isn’t the 2010s anymore but today isn’t that day
THE DJ WAS NOT MISSING 😭😭
POV: you're at a party in 2010. you just downed another shot of vodka. everything's blurry, your friends are having a good time and partying. you tell them you're done for now, and is going to the bathroom to wash your face. you trip and stumble as the alcohol sets in. you sit up against the wall to rest, and the music drowns out your thoughts & feelings.
you relax and enjoy the music in the moment.
Damn.
i hated most of these songs because they were overplayed back in 2010, only now can you really appreciate them and wish you were back there again🤟
Honestly
Frr
It's the Top 40 effect. At the time you hate them, wait 3-5 years, they start to sound good, +5 years, they get you in that throwback mood.
Very true. I distinctly remember hating 90% of these at the time but now I adore them. I hope the feeling will be replicated with the crappy music of today.
@gnome from pinkerton so crazy to think that today’s youth will feel nostalgic when they’re older about the music that’s currently popular on the radio
Either middle or freshman in HS, I remember those house parties and school dances with these songs. Barely any social media besides occasional IG or Facebook picture posts. All just vibing and enjoying each other
I was 21 in 2010. I remember all of these songs. My club phase started early in my teens and ended around the time I was 18 or 19. By 21 the weight of the world was starting to sink in. Trying to hold a job, trying to hold together relationship, paying bills all by yourself. Just all this adulting that gets thrown your way, when just two years ago you were acting a fool and now you're expected to be another piece to ever evolving machine.
Enjoy your younger years, people. Don't let anger get in the way, try new things, and don't be afraid to experience.
This video is a total mindfuck that threw me back a decade in a few seconds for me personally, because I actually *_WAS_* in the bathroom at the homecoming party of my middle school in 2010 when they were playing this music and it was muffled just like this. The songs I specifically remember playing in particular order were "dj got us fallin in love", "dynamite", "club can't handle me", "moves like jagger", "airplanes (one of my favs)", and the most memorable & my favorite of all was the last song they played to finish the night: "Animals" by Neon Trees.
...And it's just now dawning on me, That was over *_HALF MY LIFE AGO_** LIKE WHAT OF THE FUCKI- IT WAS JUST YESTERDAY WTFFF...*
Despite being a toddler and little kid in this era when my parents took me out to go to family parties like these, i can still faintly recall living moments like these deep inside my memories, despite not having any direct memories to recall, i can still feel that i have experienced it at some point.
Jesus is the only way to be saved and enter eternal life, you should join His Catholic Church!
you musta been taking a dump to have heard all those songs in the bathroom
So, you're 26, right?

First half of the 2010s was incredible. Rather than wishing I could go back, I choose to draw inspiration from the past and create new and even better memories now. Here’s to winter break 2022-23!
based comment
Extremely based. I hate how often I’ll see comments under videos depicting the past in some shape or form and the comments are always “take me back” or “this years sucks I want to go back to…”. Nostalgia is deceptive and addictive. While it’s good to appreciate and remember the past, it’s more important to keep your head in the present.

I find it funny all the comments reminiscing about how "music back then used to be so fun!" because back in 2010, people complained that everything was better in the past. Looking back almost 14 years later, and it feels like it was a much simpler time! Such is life.
2010 was one of the best years of my life! Incredible music, interesting movies, coming out constantly and a lot of unforgettable moments with my favorite people! Hopefully, time traveling will be possible soon, because I just can't anymore!
I was in kindergarten in 2010, but I remember moves like jagger playing at the halloween dance and this brings back so many memories. Thanks for this man
Missing Moves Like Jagger instead of actual Mick Jagger music is so sad.
It is not, I was born in 2002 and I thoroughly appreciate 1960-2000s music. But I miss this music because I grew up with it, I couldn't never miss mick Jagger music, as that would literally be something a boomer might feel. What I agree with is that today's world misses good music, like much of Jagger's. But it is not sad to be nostalgic about the good music someone grows up with. If you are claiming that 2010s music isn't good, and your point was that it is better to be nostalgic about rolling stones than maroon 5 that's arguable, probably I would even agree with you
I wouldn’t know, I was born in 2011 😭

I think the emotion of nostalgia is captured beautifully by these kinds of videos, because
1. they propose the idea of traveling in time with the title and the sound effect
2. the sound effects sound distant, just like these times are distant.
