Been a Numan fan my whole life. Seen him live countless times. This track and live version is epic! One of his hidden gems!
Hi numanoid I've been a fan since the 70's was to see him in the tubeway days but a friend never got the tickets seen him live 15 times in all
Why he left this track off Replicas is beyond me. It's pure class.

@@joescott483 No idea, but sometimes tracks get left behind, maybe he didn't know where to go with it? I like the lyrics a lot, Obs what the intro riff ended up as. PS I was at this Gig , sounded awesome played out full blast.
It should have ended the album and replaced "I nearly married a human"

I Nearly Married a Human is a masterpiece.
Personally, as much as I like this song, it's too poppy and not quite dark enough for Replicas, which had a more menacing feel to it. I can see why it was left off the album, despite it being a great track in its own right.

It has bits of those later songs in it because Numan picked the bones of this old track in order to compose the newer songs.

What can I say? Synths, guitar, bass guitar vocals, and drums! Gary Numan and Co. A majority of the pop singers of today (and Gary Numan is no pop singer) do not have that style and caliber when it comes to music.
Kanye West should be dumped outside of the industrial area at the waste dump along with the outdated cyborgs and androids and the rest of his kind that think they are singers and musicians with their pop music trash.
