Looks great. I’ve done several pieces and on occasion I’ve run into a substance on the metal that resists paint, maybe Armor all or oil so I always wipe everything down with acetone before painting. Tractor supply sells nuts and bolts by the pound so cleaning old bolts is not something I do. Love the gun metal, I’m going to use that on a half rack I’m doing.
I usually sand my equipment down first to get a better hold so I have not experienced that too much. Awesome I would love to see the finished project!

Hi there can I ask I have the same gym below your wall fan I have some rust on it especially the leg pulley section and powder coating is peeling any advise on it and how to fix it
Shed leaked and I didn’t realise till I unpacked the shed and found this disaster pls can you help
Hey @GypsiiSOUL That no big deal i would just mask off the rest and sand the rusted area then paint it with a similar colored spray paint. I just used the Krylon grey and it matched up pretty good. It does not need to be perfect but will help the metal from pitting over time.
Did you grind the metal then repaint or did you paint over the paint? Great job
I would scuff it our with a scotch bright pad and then clean it with a spirit to remove grease or oil then primer then paint
He also says he sanded it before repainting it
