I love the chihayafuru live action. It's not cringe and very natural not like other love adaptations. I love how the producers found actors who has similar features as those in anime.

Very true. I actually really love Taichi a lot too. His story is indeed the most relatable to me. Though I don't think he is meant for Chihaya, I do want a happy ending for him.

I love the anime and am a huge Arata fan but I feel like him and Ayase are in love with the idea of one another she views him as this god like being while he views her as being the embodiment fun he has while playing they may get together but her Endgame is Taichi. But I think Arata and Shojou will be great together.
Nah, Chihaya beats Arata, but she still admires him because she doesn't see him solely as a God like figure. Arata gets beaten by Chihaya but still loves her and experience no sort of crisis. In a recent volume, Ooe asked whether Taichi still have feelings for Chihaya, he replied "I think it's starting to fade." During that period, Shinobu began vlogging and is seen with Arata alot. Chihaya gets visibly jealous, and she's starting to realize her feelings. The Chihaya x Arata is basically confirmed.

At first, they saw each other as some "god" (Mostly from Chihaya's perspective). But through the latest manga chapter that has definitely changed. They see each other as people with goals, flaws, etc. And yet, they still love each other. It's like they started off as naive but have mature, all the while their feelings for one another staying intact.
its was pretty established from the start that the endgame is arata x chihaya. She only see taichi as a dear friend. Unless the author makes a complete turn lolols

I guess it's because Karuta and Arata are kind of intertwined to Chihaya. When Arata said he understood Chihaya nodded and didn't disagree. Then he went on to explain his side as if explaining, in a different & more direct way, what Chihaya had just said. Then when he leaves Chihaya has a big smile, like they just understand each other. So in a way she admitted her feelings???

Taichi deserves better. All he did was to make Chihaya happy. We know he has been hiding his feelings for 6 years. He had a better chance, but he didn't want anything to change between them. Chihaya always sees Arata as someone she wants to achieve. On the other hand, Taichi saw Arata as a very valuable friend to him. In the midst of all this chaos. Arata stole the start and confess his feelings to Chihaya. Chihaya who is confused by this situation cannot give an answer. But, this has a bad impact on Taichi. Chihaya who had been unaware of Taichi liked him. She turned him down. Cause himself to leave the club for a while. If the ending Chihaya chooses Arata over Taichi. The mangaka was too cruel and all of Taichi's efforts had been in vain.
Arata didn't steal shit. He didn't even want to give Chihaya his number because he thought Taichi was her bf. Even when Taichi told him they weren't dating he STILL saw Chihaya as "Taichi's" and didn't make any moves on her for MORE THAN A YEAR. It's only after realizing that "Chihaya belongs to no one" that he confessed. Taichi had plenty of time, Arata's time with Chihaya is limited but he was braver and confessed the first chance he got. It's not his fault Taichi is a coward.
@@aleksandra5808 Well said! Taichi knew Chihaya much longer than Arata and had much more time with her. He had so many chances to confess to her. But like you said, he was a coward. He was too afraid of being rejected. Or maybe he never had the courage to confess because he knew he'd be rejected. Chihaya never asked for Taichi to do anything for her. Taichi himself wanted to do all those things because he thought that would make her fall for him. Unfortunately, that's not how love works.
What efforts did Taichi do? Lol. He friendzoned himself because he didn’t make it clear to Chihaya that he loves her. He had so much time to tell her but for all his love for Chihaya, Taichi couldn’t muster the courage to tell her. It’s Chihaya that didn’t deserve Taichi’s emo tantrum. Taichi, the person she considers her best friend, just suddenly ghosts her and she didn’t know why.
How did the movie end? Was there an endgame couple or did they just gloss over that part?
