Easily one of Hyundai's best-selling vehicles, the third-generation Hyundai Santa Fe now comes in two sizes: the 3-row Santa Fe and this smaller 2-row Santa Fe Sport. A stylish new design, upscale features, and a spacious cabin make it a worthy choice in the midsize crossover segment. Unfortunately, so-so fuel economy and uninspiring driving dynamics keep it from being the class-leader. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
I love all the hand gestures when he talks about the center stack and how disappointed he gets when something is hard touch instead of "soft touch" and one touch automatic windows. lol
Hahahahaha yes!
Haha agree
"I'm going to put my car enthusiast away..."
*Full throttle accelerates*
We tried to put it away, but it's simply just more fun to go fast ;)
LOL. I was going to make this same comment. You just can't suitcase the joy of driving.
"...it doesn't have much wheelspin.it doesn't have enough power"
Tires squeal twice
dchawk81 Exactly. Even in a family SUV you gotta have fun!
Brandon Friesen Yeah my monstrosity is a blast. Huge, cumbersome, and comfortable but a blast. lol.
This Santa Fe is much better looking than that ugly ford escape. Those things look like they got smashed in the front.
Great review, very helpful, thanks!
Nice review! I'd love to see you do a review of the 2.0T model, just to see the difference in performance.
My mom has the SUV and she loves it....
Good review, Sofyan. Interior looks surprisingly low rent to me..hard to tell from magazine reviews. Which is why your reviews are awesome.
Cannot unsee elephant now lol
The "Sport" badge actually means a vehicle has been decontented from a higher trim. The trick is knowing whether or not the full-contented version is a sporting model or not.
Range Rover vs Range Rover Sport
LR Discovery vs LR Discovery Sport
BMW sdrive vs xdrive (sport being only two wheel drive vs all wheel drive)
Lexus F-sport vs F badging
Cadillac V-sport vs V badging
BMW M-sport vs M badging
Because sports cars are viewed highly as content is taken away, (and you "enthusiast" reviewers prove this true with the fact that practicality, safety, visibility, passenger comfort, amenities, material quality, and etc. are all written off if the vehicle is great to drive), the marketing guys realized that saying something is the "Sport version" allows all of the "cheaper" versions to hold prestige. Hence also why sport is a mid-trim usually, above base (price point) and below the fully-loaded/tuned models.
Great Review Bro!
We have a '14 Sport 2.0L Turbo and I COMPLETELY agree on the steering. Also, the pedals are really numb and the brakes are laggy but suddenly sensitive if you press quickly..
Hey man, you should consider doing a car review on your personal car? I'd love to watch it. Great videos, keep up the good work. I've learned alot about cars now that I've watched your videos.
It's already been done bozo
Oh Ok. thanks
@@prototypeglory Why so mean?
@@austinc8343 Dont listen to ribadib, you are not a bozo!
@@andrewgerena4108 thanks haha. Man this comment was so long ago I forgot I even wrote it 😂
Great info thanks!
I drove 10,000 kilometers with this car on a road trip. I really liked it. The powerless tailgate kinda annoyed me, but other than that I was happy with it.
I just bought one last week (2.0T AWD Ultimate) and I don't care what you all say, I LOVE this vehicle. I was a bit skeptical and first time buyer for Korean car but my doubts just went down the drain! This car rocks!! Thank you for the review but I really don't care what you say about this beauty. Korean cars definitely notched up their ante and personally I think this one is better than the most of big Japanese brands or even some German brands. Good job, Hyundai.
***** how much, what zip code
We got it for $34,500. The dealer will work with you if you are aggressive on your pricing. Good luck!! So far, we are enjoying our Santa Fe sport! Awesome car, man.
Nice. I'm looking forward to it. I hate the uneven power delivery of even the best turbos (even this one), so I'm after the 2.4.
I love the intro!! What´s the name of the song?
On a lot of cars, the factory installed tires are a cheaper version of what you’ll get when you replace them. I suspect the steering feel and handling would be much improved with better tires
Hyundai Santa fe 2017 you should review. I want one
I'm a bit curious on the Hyundai Genesis coupe would be cool if you guys did one. As I trust you we have pretty similar tastes in how we want our cars
The first Santa Fe was based on the Sonata platform, The Tucson was based on the Elantra platform!!!
They came a long way
Nice, the design style is cool
My Uncle has one of these and it's the 2.2TD Elite, I don't know if these are in the USA but it's pretty good
Would love to hear your opinion on the new chevy ss.
now i cant unsee the mickey mouse/elephant dash haha
When you go reverse do the camera grid lines curve to guide you? Or are they straight all the time?
I'm in the market for a new SUV. I am trying to decide between this 2014 Santa Fe Sport and the 2013-2014 Ford Edge, and it's impossible to decide. I'm 6'4" so I need space, can't go for the compact, but trying to decide on the best midsize SUV for the price around $15000 is impossible. I hope someone will give me advice!
Are you going to try to review the new Mustang when it comes out?
I love it.
nice i need this
Right on!
"It's not gonna be dangerous to drive." high praise lol
Review the 2014-2015 scion tc
When will you review Lexus IS F Sport?
I bought my Santa Fe 2.4L 4WD for just $26,000. For this price and features, I won't cry and complain. And will never ever compare to vehicles like Audi, Ford, Mazda which are above $26,000.
Does the 2014vSanta Fe Sport 2.0T have a panoramic roof?
Santa Fe Sport is to Ford Edge as Tuscon is to Escape, making the CX-5 compete with Escape, Tuscon, Forester, Sportage, and other small-midsize CUVs.
I find it funny that you compare the Santa Fe and Acura RDX in design, because I HATE the RDX and I love the Santa Fe, I really don't see that much of a resemblance.
please do a review on the new c300 or c400
Good looking!
I like the design but what I'm not convinced about with Hyundai/Kia products are the longevity of the parts on the vehicle. They're offering a ton of car for the money so it makes me think they had to cut somewhere. I've read so many complaints about the Elantra and other models suffering from premature brake wear, needing new struts, control arms and wheel bearings at very low mileage which means the nice refinement of the vehicle degrades rather soon requiring replacement of parts.
There also used to be problems with random interior trim pieces falling off. I don't know if that's still applicable though.
Motor Trend COTY team for 2013 (comprised of professional auto engineers and executives) collectively said the Sante Fe was cheap beneath the skin - cowl shake, bouncing rear seats, also-ran driving feel. Not surprising, Hyundai still isn't there yet, and no amount of head turning styling can change that.
n777ua It goes to show that people get suckered into buying fancy looks with low price points versus substance.
Djonkie Bonk Indeed. I could never sell my wagon because it has cosmetic issues even though it's mechanically solid. However, if it was pretty it could have all sorts of mechanical problems and I'd get close to top dollar.
Well, you're right, because Elantra and Sonata reliability was bad enough to make the R&D chief step down.
***** i watch these all day
I even tried a Hyundai Sonata 2016 the steering was still really weird had to keep correcting I don’t like that.
Why do you WOT from every turn or stop in every vehicle you drive?
Well, for demonstration purposes... that's not how we drive the cars all the time.
I must say, Hyundai is catching up nicely.... that said, i rather own a Hyundai than a let's say Toyota or Honda.
The wind noise though.
Epic car!!
Wait a minute,,,, Is this a Ford Edge, they are almost twins...Maybe Ford was looking to close to the Santa Fe..
looks like a big hatchback
2theRedline just saw your review on the 2015 nissan rogue and this one. definitely gives me a lot to think about. on a side note, your phoooooneeeeee nooooooo lol
Except I can get more features on a Santa Fe Ultimate than the RDX.
Well shit, I never saw an Elephant before, but now I do!
***** You should do A Dodge Journey.
How does this car go for ?
How much*
I prefer outlander sport
i had one but i traded it in for a 2014 audi q5
I can't stand a poor sense of center. It makes those long highway commutes tiresome.
iPhone screen is cracked @ 4:32 lol
Centre stack looks like a cobra
14:46 Hey Route 28!
The Hyundai Santa Fe Sport doesn't really deserve the "Sport" badge...lol
not bad
Not an all black interior, yeepee!
No car company in the market is unique anymore. why does the santa fae grill looks like the ford edge grill.
***** I think Ford Edge copied the Santa Fe grill. The all new Santa Fe was released in 2012 as 2013 model. Ford Edge released 2015 and 2016 model looks just like the Santa Fe. Not to worry. The Santa Fe is scheduled to go major face lift end of this year and brand new awesome looking design in 2018 model. So I guess Ford has another copycat work to do.... Sorry for Ford...
***** the ford taurus also had this design from ford a while back. The earlier hyndai genesis take their grill design from Mercedes Benz.
First thought: BLEH
Last thought: BLEH
wow really? I think this car is gorgeous. From the outside at least, it's probably among the best looking in its class (IMO)
maximus9401 shut up bitch
Most definitely the best looking compact SUV on the market. The rest are bleh though
i think in person the Santa Fe is gorgeous in person but, the enclave hands down is the most gorgeous crossover suv on the market, i think
asiroproductions Haha, this guy
Hyundai resale values been skyrocketted last five yrs or so. Perception of the brand though..
I have a Santa Fe 2014, it is the worst SUV always gives me problems, the times I have traveled it has broken, it already has 65k miles and every time I take it to repair Hyundai dealer I return because they do not do the job well this has happened to me In Florida and Oklahoma, incompetent technicians are the same. I do not recommend it, it is my opinion in particular
Saw your cracked iphone. That sucks!
Not enough to sell it to me over an RDX.
I think Hyundai has dtepped their game up with their nice designs but let's face it, I wouldn't purchase a Hyundai...... I think Hyundai and reliability. they do have good warranties though, as do Kia, but again I wouldn't purchase for the simple fact it's a Hyundai.
Dude, Your Wrong More Side Wall like more Cow Bell.
You're*
center stack suppose to shape like a cobra lol
First
Not first
Hard plastic? What a shame for this price. *facepalm*
Mickey mouse
“It’s nothing really special...”
JUNK, it's too short and too small.
This guy needs to learn how to express himself better. His comments sound dumb and childish at times.
i'm unsubscribing .. the intro is so annoying .. half the review ur only talking while driving !!!!
