Old comment thread here perhaps, but I have a question: Can you be specific about which grade/type OSB flooring is used (3/4" I think) with regard to moisture resistance? Brand of OSB and classification would be nice.....such as "GP Exposure 1: OSB suitable for uses not permanently exposed to the weather. " Thanks!

Good question but I'm not actually too sure on the correct answer... this is from their website: "3/4” Engineered Wood Floor".

Interior dimensions, like will my 84 inch wide truck fit between the interior fender wells? Probably not, but I thought I'd point that out. Interior height?

It would fit... just like all open deck car haulers, you have 84" in between fenders. Most guys with aftermarket wheels with negative offset and whatnot really make it tough to squeeze in. Standard interior height on enclosed car haulers is 6'6" while we do order many in with 7' interior height to fit the taller side by sides guys have now.

Wow 8 ply tires on that big trailer should at least be 10-12

I guess everyone in the industry is doing it wrong then, as everyone uses 8-ply LRD on 5200# axles. Not say a heavier range isn't a bad thing for some niche users, ideally landscapers, but that isn't the best trailer for that application. A 12-ply would be a heckuva rough ride for a guy hauling a car or similar, which is what most would be doing. The trailer, as equipped, would be able to safely handle a roughly 7800# load. 10K trailer * 1.15 = 11500# - 3700# empty = 7800#. Unless someone is a high duty cycle user or at the upper end of that weight range, what is on it should be fine.

Who puts wood floors in a car hauler wood ramps and that wood underneath exposed to the elements. TOTAL FAIL..

John - I'd be curious how many cargo trailers you've been around. I've been doing this 11 years, everyone builds them this same way, pretty much. Trailers from down south doesn't undercoat, which is the problem (premature rust) in our climate, not the wood. I've seen 2 floors need a panel or two replaced on trade in (cause was a roof leak), and 1 under warranty from a customer parking over grass/parked a 40hp compact tractor with backhoe exactly between crossmembers and it cracked a panel. I guess everyone in the industry must be doing it wrong! :-)
