I have an a diciannoveventitre (a1923) leather jacket in black kang leather. I’ve had it for around a year now and love the look, craftsmanship, and fit. The leather feels like armor and the textures in each panel are ridiculous. I get the comparisons to ccp but I believe it depends on the piece, there’s only so many ways to make a high quality/craftsman leather jacket. Love the style of yours and I’m sure it will wear in nicely!

I definitely understand the "copying" CCP criticism, but in the end, how many ways are there to make an incredible simple leather jacket?

One video after another, straight bangers. Honestly I really like Augusta and I think the ccp comparison is fair, a lot of artisanal brands may end up looking a certain way or having a certain aesthetic, but well they are all inspired in Carpe diem, ccp and in some cases rick, so at the end of the day its expected. I do have to say this jacket is stunning but all the details have an uncanny resemblance to a ccp jacket and I think he should try to get away from that. Anyways another great video.
Fully agreed Tasio! I think if the details were a bit different there wouldnt even be a discussion.. But as long as the quality and craftsmanship is there I am happy with the brand :)
I’ve been familiar with this brand in that I’ve always seen it compared to ccp MA+ etc. I find this brands more compelling but this is a nice jacket. I think I’d rather get a ccp leather or MA+ if I’m paying in that price range, but thanks for sharing your pickup!

I agree with his influence from CCP. Unfortunately, he failed to establish his own point of view. For example, Boris moved away from Rick Owens by establishing his own voice to sustain his brand.
Boris copied designs as well .Sneakers with padded tongues and hidden laces(from CCP) ,jackets with drawstring at back collar(from Rick),Rick Owens scuba jacket etc etc .A1923 did it as well ,but in a very bold statement.
A1923 is great! I have double zips in culatta and Wool overcoat, love them. Is he a CCP copy cat? I stand in neutral grounds, some Augusta items are bit too CCP like, like the spiral boots. I’ve also seen pictures of very similar sneaker design to new ccp drips but have yet not seen those in any retailers. Most of his stuff isin’t that ccp like when you take other ”artisinal avant-garde” brands in consideration, CCP/BBS/Deepti/Leon Emanuel Blanck/A1923 and others have all some overlap in some items.

I would be interested too in german brands, Hannibal or Werkstatt Muenchen they are based in Munchen, i know about Trippen. Is there more interesting stuff from your country?
really nice jacket, i wonder if it stretch a little, in the chest. But i'm a bit confused by price. Used marked is not always realistic and, from my understanding retail is same as CCP? If so, this is prob why ppl can be upset.
Yeah, retail is around CCP price, maybe 10% less but on the secondary market prices are like half(ish) of CCP..
The leather is beautiful and I'm not even a huge fan of leather.
If you're looking to buy some boots from Augusta definitely go one size down

Can someone show me some examples of the ccp copying because I have never seen it especially on the footwear as they are better quality than ccp. I get that the jacket had similarities to ccp but its probably the only piece like that

I like a1923 shoes a lot, but not a huge fan of their clothes
A1923 has it's own character ,you see the shoes ,you know what it is.Same goes with the outerwear. The problem was that he introduced 'copied' designs the time they were 'hot' back then,like: the CCP boots ,the CCP perforated sneakers,the CCP high neck jackets .The time the Paul Harnden jerkin became famous,Simone made his own identical .Same goes for the PH blazers .Augusta produced them when PH sales were going nuts ,but Simone didn't go too far ,like the true copy-cat Cinzia Araia.Augusta signature and quality was there. That said, i really like A1923 clothes ,but i avoid the shoes*.There are some avant garde brands ,that always fit me like a glove. One of them is A1923 ,therefore as a buyer i don't care who copied who.
*PS A1923 shoes (and Layer-0 ) go well with PH pants (and ph outfits in general)
Great points there as always man! I agree with you but it feels like many people dont (just reading the Stylezeitgeist thread on A1923).. And yes, the fit of A1923 is perfect for me as well! As long as the craftsmanship is there I love what Simone is doing

Not sure, never bought from them directly.. some avant-garde stores stock A1923 though
