I love those kind of ports! Sometimes traveling for a distance when you dock is scary so I prefer to stay close to the ship. Looks like a beautiful place. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Joe, love Puerto Plata, DR. The Tainos were the indigenous inhabitants of most of the Caribbean islands such as Cuba, DR, Puerto Rico, etc when the Europeans arrived in the late 15th century. Unfortunately the majority of them didn't survive mainly due to the diseases the newly arrived Europeans brought and the hard labor they were submitted to. Just some folklore for you. Great cruise!!!
