nice thoughts by Mr Gollapudi !
Even though he acted in some good films, he also acted in negative roles. When he was talking about Delhi incident / other incidents, I was thinking why did he act in movies where women were raped/tortured? Didn't he have social responsibility?
I feel most of the people who turn old suddenly start taking about dharma and good...

      Nice thought sir.
But even in the great epic Ramayana itself, there were Rama and Ravana who had two opposite personalities. So it's our choice and developing conscience that has to opt for what to take in and what to be left out.

Just a comment to share, how people change(good change in this case) as time passes. By the way nice example, Imagine if Ravana starts preaching about doing and being good? If that is the case, I guess I would share the same comment as above.

I disagree with you brother. Bringing Ravana and Rama here is totally out of the Ring. They are widely spread religious epics. So one doesn't have to be ethically troubled in choosing to play Ravana in a movie just bcoz he tried to marry Sita, a married woman. Gollapudi Garu chesina negative roles chesina sare, there was something dignified about these kind of good actors. Jayamalini Garu item song lo skirt veskunna, cut cheppagane she used to be fully covered. Negative roles chesinantha mathrana ethical responsibility ledhani kadhu. NTR garu Ramudiga Krishnudiga enni movies lo chesaru ? Didn't he marry a married woman later ? So just bcoz you do good roles doesn't mean you lead a moral life either. They just played art... Navarasallo oka rasanni poshincharu. Most often those roles have very less or no relation at all to real life. Ravu Gopala Rao was a sensitive guy....I can give ample of shining examples from both ends.
Ravanudu morality gurinchi matladithe comedy ga untundhani antunnaru. Those who become immoral just by seeing Ravana can also try to be righteous by seeing Rama. So stop blaming actors for all shit in the movies. Gollapudi garu is saying something good and you are pointing out at him. How can people see negativity in this at all ? Being critical is one thing, being optimistic is another thing all together. Some critics can be pessimistically critical which is very unhealthy.
May be I'm opening the door to a never ending debate. ⭕Are movies portraying the immoral reality in the society or is society getting worse bcoz of immoral movies.⭕ A cyclic debate though.
But I for one see Gollapudi Garu as a positive person. Don't judge him by his doing because roles. Show me if he was involved in any immoral activities directly or indirectly. Respect sir.
