The book that awakened my genius
*Wimpy kid*
🤣🤣🤣
true 😁
Funny, but my god son, aged about 9 at the time, hated books and school, till I got him one of the Wimpy Kid books -- totally changed his life . . . amazing!!!
Ok
@jackfiIms Damn the bad luck! Good luck with that!!!
The book which awoke my inner curiosity is ‘Prapanchani Marchina Mahamedavulu’ which means ‘Those that changed the world’. It's a compilation of work done by great scientists, biologists, politicians, authors and actors.
I read that book in my 8th grade and I'm now 21. It literally changed the person I'm - for better.
This title of the video brought many memorable moments to my mind ❤️
Hi, is there a translated version of the book?
I'm liking the recent focus on Turing
“The mind is not a vessel to be filled, but a fire to be kindled.”
― Plutarch
Such a great quote and (sadly) the total opposite of how kids and young adults are taught in most of today’s modern public (and private) school system :’(
School was often like a big water hose to my fire. Only, when i freed myself from school, it started burning again. Every streamlined process kills creativity and development.
I feel like a vessel tho.. half empty..
@@dengan699 🙁
@@__WJK__ Fire needs oxygen, it won't come on its own. You need school and memorizing is an acceptable means of getting people to learn because intelligence and wisdom are 100% indistinguishable from correct application of memory.
"History of Mathematics by tibees" ♥️♥️♥️
Love this series no matter which science!
I need that too. Please
Yahhh
your voice is so soothing and peaceful
Love from India. Imagine getting a heart emogi from tibees
And, you did it.

@human guy congratulations
@Nice Name lmao, you be a mind reader
@Nice Name better than you spreading hate and judging people
Thanks for this presentation on Alan Turing, a true genius of the 20th century. I find his efforts to defeat the "Enigma" code machine to be fascinating for many reasons, not the least of which is the fact that Turing himself was somewhat of an enigma. His persecution as a homosexual was appalling and a poor reward for his valuable code breaking work during WWII.
Thank you for not trying to go with the mainstream CZcams thing, making super flashy videos with super mind numbingly enticing thumbnails. It's refreshing for someone to just share their interests on the platform as themselves, without quick edits. You're a rare breed Toe-beezy (our new pup is named Toby and that's what I call him, and I guess that's what I call you too), know you're a rare breed, and excel at it. The world needs it more now than ever.
Very interesting and worthwhile video. Many thanks for the linked downloads.
Toby , you are the reason I love science ❤️
@Farhan Siddique her name's Toby
How, please explain 😂😂
@@atanusaha9988 To by scientific means explain it is not possible...
@@softlycrumblingcastle1820 I have not told to explain her name, I have said to explain the cause of Seema Rajput's comment.😂😂😂
@@atanusaha9988 00:59 what this statement sounds like to you, or put it this way will be more clear, so obvious, what she is implying: how? so what to do to get……, okay? clear now?! The answer will be some sunshine plus nutrition plus what it takes to plant trees or to fertilize..., simple stuff, right? All men are born farmers, of course women same too.
What we learn today we never know when the knowledge will help us in the future it's very clear from the story of Alan Turing
Who's that Tuning? xD
Absolutely, without question, this is true in my case. I would never have predicted the course my life has taken, but as it turns out, by the guidance of God or chance, I was well prepared. Of course, that does not mean that success was guaranteed - only that the steps to it became low enough to climb.
@@a1nelson _"That does not mean that success was guaranteed - only that the steps to it became low enough to climb.

Well said - that's a nice turn of phrase.
Dear Tibees. I'm fortunate enough to be the Head of Computer Science at Sherborne School. I'm very proud of that fact. I'm hoping to uncover a new Alan Turing here! Thank you for your video. I enjoyed it. I'm also a PhD in Computer Assessment in Mathematics so I find your exams-related videos interesting too. Keep up the good work.
Tibee, you must be a psychic as well. I was just thinking about looking for Alan’s source of inspiration. Thank you so much :3
Tibees, thanks for all the wonderful videos. There is always some kind of joy emanating from you that makes me enjoy watching your videos. Greetings from sweden, and I hope the videos keeps on coming.
This is such a unique and insightful channel. Really enjoy your content
The saddest part about Turings life is that after all his hard work in helping to decipher the enigma machine (aiding victory in WW2), Turing was arrested and chemically castrated for being a homosexual, and later was found dead after cyanide poisoning.
We know
@@A-Ls1 Speak for yourself when trying to be simply dismissive.

I was studying about mathematics a little deeper.. In which I could find some more theories and notes of great Scholars and mathematicians..
It was you who helped me to create interest and I m proud to be saying.. Thank you Tibees😊😊

This is favorite channel of all of CZcams, i really love your videos, you inspire me ♥️
tibees, thank you so much for going to all this effort to explain just how important Turing was. I'm gay myself, and did my PhD in physics. When I was younger (I am 35 now) I went and sat beside his memorial statue on the park bench near Manchester university (which is also where I did my PhD!) Growing up gay in suburban Australia, it was pretty difficult at times, but the situation is very different these days. Poor Alan, all he wanted to do was help save his country, but apparently punishing him for a consensual act is far more important than code breaking and developing computers.
🤣🤣🤣
RIP Alan Turing the innocent, the father of computers. 🏳️🌈
Omg
Every time I think I might be gay I look at women like Tibees and go "naaah, I think not".
Just found this channel a few days ago, and now I've crossed the event horizon. This content is supermassive, and now there's no escape!
Yep, you're doomed - the next step is getting spaghettified ... :D
Or, being bombarded by roughly one-half of the particle/anti-particle pairs that pop into existence just beyond the event horizon and get sucked into the singularity - while the other half manifest themselves collectively as Hawking radiation.
Listening to you teach feels very pure, relaxing, and definitely not boring.
Your videos changed the perspective i see all the things in the world . Thank you , Tobi
THANKS FOR MAKING THIS TIBEES!
Fascinating video and so nicely explained, thanks for sharing.
Thank you for sharing one more relaxing session.
Thank you, Tibees, for another excellent presentation.
Inspiring. And it got me thinking about my own childhood fascinations and motivating subjects and what became of them. So, thanks for this.
Fascinating video. Thank you!
I love all your videos Tibees. It is so enjoyable 😊
Thanks for the video Toby ❤️
I just love your voice! I could listen to you over and over again... it's so soothing and calm... I really love it! ;)
I love how you made Turing come alive, as a real person of flesh and blood and not just a name and a black and white picture on a book page. Turing was one of the last centuries greatest thinkers, so great it was just about recently we fully understood how ahead of his time he was
I'm grateful to came across your channel
You’re passionate about such strange yet fascinating things; I think that’s wonderful and that it reveals a lot about your personality.
You are such an inspiration 👀❤️ I love your videos soo much, they give me motivation to pursue my career as a physicist. I'm a second year now.
Really?! I’ve had this strong draw towards physics for about a decade. But I’m still not brave enough to study it because I feel like I won’t handle the pressure, despite the passion that I have for it. That’s why I always like to hear about other people who are actually brave enough to go for it! It’s great that you’re going to become a physicist. What specific kind of physicist are you going to be?
@@TheMorganVEVO You'll never know unless you try it. It's really challenging and most of the time I feel like "how did it get here" or "I'm not smart enough", but I can either let it hold me back or motivate me. I believe all it takes is hard work and confidence. I haven't decided yet, but my dream is working at CERN so I'll probably try aiming for it. 🥳
@@sosygmingmc5030 Thanks for the advice. Maybe I’ll give it a try someday. I recently read about a woman who was a singer and she earned a Physics degree from ‘The Open Academy’. That sounds pretty appealing to me. Hopefully, I’ll dive into it soon and see how I feel about it. And congrats on your dream to work at CERN! 👏🏾 I wish you tons of good luck with your goal. 🍀
@@TheMorganVEVO You might not pursue a physics career, but still study physics in Engineering.
@@murtithinker7660 I’ve been reading about that option. It’s probably the direction I’ll go in. It definitely allows for a practical future.
