This car sounds like its lacking Oil from the motor lol, and the manual shift worses it, the no-sound in between the gear shits is ass.

@@detudnormi2215 It's got automatic rev-matching. You don't have to manually blip the throttle when downshifting. If that's what you mean...

I've been following this Gold Leaf airbox project for a few months now and wasn't expecting to see the car on Misha's channel! Awesome job and sound!
It was screaming on top of 4th and it was F ING CRAZY
No electric car will ever get the same reaction for me as this one! When the throttle opens, there are cold shivers from the intake sounds of the engine!

Holy crap 8:53-9:10 the way he keeps it pinned in 4th. Amazing that porsche makes a motor that can handle that kind of revving in a road car.
It really puts into perspective how steep it is, when it's stopping the car accelerating at those revs/speed.
He’s just using a “balance” throttle through that section
you can see him reach at 8:59 but not go for it as changing into 5th would kill the revs

That sound is just something else. Also I love how the car tells you to upshift around 5k to 6k rpm but when you go over it stops, so in a way it says: you want to rev it - I respect that 😆
I think the car tells you to upshift based on how much gas you are giving it. Oh and yes it does sound amazing!

Amazing, this cat seems to be very well equilibrated, easy to pilot. I love the very quick gearbox and the sound when shifting gears up and down
above 5k rpms is heaven, but below 4k rpms that induction is diabolical. Loved It !!!

This is incredible. With modern turbo engines and GPFs, i think all mid engine car manufacturers should implement some kind of in cabin intakes. I would love to have a chat with guys behind this, they are my heroes.

When I got my 981 Cayman S I was surprised at how loud the inside of the car was at high RPM. I can’t imagine what this must be like 😂

Great lap, god that gearbox is so good. It's the closest you can get to a PDK but a real manual, those downshifts were instant.
That Cayman sounds absolutely awesome. Definitely getting some retro 911 air-cooled vibes from this one, absolutely excellent!
Hint of rasp up through the revs, but the note through the shift and the blip(s) on the downshift are perfection.
GT4 owner here - I have the 718, so to be honest I want the exhaust to sound more like a 981. Intake noise I don't care about too much, I think the RS would be too loud. The stock intake sound is already very good. I replaced the Porsche paper air intake filters with some BMC filters - I think thats more than enough. Now if I could just get the exhaust to sound like a 981 I'd be happy.

According to our before and after dyno runs, the intake adds additional 4 hp (without a remap) and additional 16 hp with a remap.
Nothing better than seeing a car driven to its fullest capability… Awesome lap Sir.

I always disliked Caymans cause of rear end design but it kinda grew on me seeing all of them, and man these are track weapons. Good price wise too, considering its a Porsche.

True, but remember that it's only super loud like that on wide open throttle. While cruising the intake is quiet and while driving normally the sound seems manageable.

@@Svensson81 A friend of mine used to own a GT4RS. He went on a european roadtrip went it and he said the noise was unbearable. I think he recorded it at 110db at one point. Not very fun to cruise in such an enviroment
