Ryo was great, but I feel John is an amazing fit. I think they're going to release some monster tracks in the future.

I was so worried after Ryo left. Crystal Lake was my favorite band in large part because of Ryo (who still is my favorite vocalist). With that being said, I am very excited for their future. John has the voice, technique, and cadence to do Justice to Ryo’s parts and not sound out of place in their old songs, but not sound like just a copy of him and putting his own stamp on their new sound
Ryo's Crystal Lake is what got me into listening metalcore

"Yeah, he'll do" - pretty much my reaction haha. Was a bit apprehensive about how it'd go with the new frontman and as soon as they dropped this it was a case of "Righto then" - if this is a taste of what's to come the next album should be stunning.

Funny story but crystal lake already featured a former vocalist (Kentaro Nishimura) in their rerecorded album back in 2020 when Ryo was still here on the track "The Passage (Rerecorded)"
