  • From the air and from the ground, experience this wild, remote landscape like never before. In this roadless desert wilderness, it takes many expeditions to find your way to just some of it's hidden jewels. But the trek is more than worth the effort to immerse yourself in our public lands.

My search for beauty in the natural world takes me off-trail to remote, vast, and rugged wildlands, where I capture the special moments. These places renew the human spirit and deserve your attention and protection. By sharing these places, I hope to inspire others to go there, fall in love, and protect them for our children.
Mark’s images have been exhibited in Central Oregon at several venues including The High Desert Museum, and have been published by the Washington Post, Oregon Natural Desert Association, and Oregon Wild among others.

This guy has to be professional videographer. This is one of the best produced videos on CZcams I've ever seen.

Exactly so! Roads seldom are located in the most beautiful spots, we must walk to them! Thanks for your comment.

Living in Central Oregon near Tumalo Falls is a great base camp to explore the many places others do to travel. We have done several trips to the Owyhee area and this video shows me how many more trips I need to take. As I skim through your videos. I need to re watch many of them and make a bucket list of off the beaten paths to visit. We explore year around in this region. So much to see and experience. Why camp at Crane prairie when you can go to so many other less crowded areas in Oregon. Keep up the good work

Thank you so much for your comments. Your interest in exploring our public lands is exactly why I try to share these hidden gems - as more people experience them, it is more likely we can protect them for future generations. Thanks for watching!

Mark, well done on the coverage of these special spots. I've been to many of the same places by paramotor and am always looking for new areas to explore. And, like you said, it takes several trips to get to know an area well and to find your way around. Nice art pieces you've got!

Thank you Ben. The Owyhee region is so vast, there will always be more for a person to explore.
