If your considering an RS3, I’d look for one in a desirable colour, with the upgrade supersport seats in black with red or grey stitching, with the RS exhaust and mag ride and as many other options as possible on it
That one is poverty spec
Also , I know you will miss the digital dash from the golf R , so maybe a newer Rs3 with the digital dash .
Nicholos summers digi dash is nice but it’s a gimmick, that and 2017 > cars are still making 40k upwards
I’d rather have the pre facelift, in a high spec, it’s just as good a car, and ultimately, an “original” not only that if he is going to tune it That all alloy block is an Achilles heel, plenty have blown up chasing more power

The sound, look, performance of these are insane, Even though you haven't shown the other cars you're considering, I think you should get an RS3

If that was me I'd try to get it with unreplacable parts like factory tints and nardo grey paint. Wouldn't really care about seats or wheels as you could just change them out later. Cheapest nardo grey RS3 I've seen from £33k which is still a lot of money unless you have a lot of disposable income

I have just chopped in my 2016 Golf R DSG for a beautiful 2016 Audi RS3 Dynamic Pack / Nappa Leather / Black Pack - best thing I have ever done. Golf R was awesome, this is an overall big step up however
Sticking to hot hatch’s, A45 and RS3 are the only 2 worth upgrading too in my opinion
Rs3 is the ultimate golf r upgrade it’s beats every single hot hatch, try for a better spec one though. Deffo rs3
RS3 is awesome! I'll be picking up an S4 Saloon/S5 5dr next year and this is making me excited for it 👍🏻

The golf R was sold in just a week that car was great but rs3 are good too a good replacement in my opinion

Yes I love the RS3 but that RS is the same as mine and the manual and launch control is awesome and the standard seats are brilliant and they get you sat nice and low. Just make sure the cylinder head had been done. Cheers Oliver

Either an RS3 or a BMW M2 Competition. Go for the Face-lift model RS3 though with the Active Info Display + 396ps engine. I would test a both M2s the Normal M2 plus an Competition.

If you are considering a RS3 you need to spend the extra and get the 400bhp I test drove one and it was awesome... when I change the golf r it will be top of my list with the new A45 and golf r plus to come out. Mal keep the vids coming

Rs3 is the way to go.. even better if you could stretch the budget to the facelift. Nearly sure the facelift is a mid 2017 car. My mate has a January 2018 rs3 with the new cockpit with a price tag of 101,000euro with the options he picked🙉

seems a solid car so far! they run hot 103-105c and up to 108c , but nothing of concern and normal, I’ve had the water pump and fuel pump done which needs doing at 50k the cars on 56k 2014 model going to keep it for another few years , the paint is an exclusive colour from factory so not seen another yet
@@GamingCornerYT Funny you mention the water pump, I have a vegas yellow 2015 S3 and the water pump went on it a few weeks ago and its still at Audi Wolverhampton being repaired, I had it back a few days ago but it had to go back as they had not got air out of the system or something and ended up over-heating, So back to Audi it went. I know its a common problem the water pump on VAG cars I just wondering if there is anything else in the works that could potentially break!!!
Java green is a lovely colour, saw one in that colour a few years ago and it looks amazing in the sunlight!!!

Mine was overheating after pump change and it turned out coil pack had gone (coil 4) and needed replacing so have a look at that! , my car was overheating and not cooling (110-111c) and had a few overheat warning lights but seems great now!

Had my rs3 saloon for over 2 years, one of the first in UK. Still love it. Alas don’t drive it as much as I want but it’s superb even after 2 years.

I had that year RS3 and it was mega although I was a little older 27. Maybe go with an M2?

The pre facelift rs5 is awesome. No idea why but the revious gen rs5 looks so good. The proportions are amazing. The rear end is menacing and the front end is good as well once you add front canards. Might go from a 2017 s3 to a 2017 rs5 the yearbefore they facelifted to get that old audi lookand supercharger!

So I guess other than the RS3 you are probably testing a A45 AMG, Focus RS (manual 'box mentioned) and the Megane RS? If it were me I wouldnt buy a pre-face RS3 as you'd always be thinking about the better handling and lighter 400bhp facelift and wishing you'd bought that.
I wouldnt change my Golf R for any of them (had much faster cars in the past anyway) as the Golf is the best all rounder IMO and a great daily driver. :-)

Yep and it’ll go to 1000bhp on the same engine and clutch. Obviously it’s still best to upgrade. Realistically the golf r and s3 will go to approx half that.
Amazing car, but you literally cannot seem to feel the speed in them as much as you can in other cars!

I like the Pre FL RS3 over the FL. In my opinion it looks more bad than the FL. The PRe FL is the bad boy and the FL a sunny boy from the look. And the sound is also better than the FL. For me, I would buy pre FL
I wouldn’t buy a pre-face lift RS3, certainly with that spec. If you can, get a late 2017 car instead. They look a bit better being the facelift and have updated tech like virtual cockpit etc. Also, A45s do not compare to RS3s, at all.
