TWO OF THE GREATEST LEADERS OF ALL TIME.
Hello Eddie 👋
No question! Those two, Margaret Thatcher, JFK, Franklin Roosevelt, and Winston Churchill were the greatest Western leaders of 20th century in my opinion.
Sin lugar a dudas. Faltaría la tercera, Margaret Thatcher!
Ojalá fueran los líderes ahora!!!!

@@user-iw7ne7sy5qAgree, but no Roosevelt please.
They are matched. Good president, Good POPE. GOD BLESS THEM.
They wanted all people to be happy. A long time ago by the pace of the current times....
Thank you🙏 Reagan Library
Wonderful vídeo!❤❤❤
I was there, then a high school senior. Definitely one of the highlights of my life! Then got to vote for Reagan for his 2nd term.
I voted for the 1st time in my life, for President Reagan in his 1st term. I was 18 years old. Of course I also voted for him in his 2nd term. I didn't realize then that I was a conservative. I was just to naively idealistic at the time. He is one of two presidents that I am still proud that I voted for. The other is Donald J. Trump. Four decades and only two presidents that I feel were worthy to lead. And both of them from unlikely backgrounds. Many years later, when I was 45 years old, after years of ignoring God, the Holy Spirit finally got my attention and lead me to the Catholic Church. I at one point in my life had declared I would never be Catholic! The Lord God had other plans and His plans, in His time, always come to pass. I have since learned a bit about Pope John Paul 2, especially his theology of the body. I regret that while he was on this earth I was oblivious to his brilliance and humble service to God and to all of humanity. This video shows, in my humble opinion, the two greatest human world leaders of my adult life together on one stage. It seems to me more than ever that we desperately need someone to fill their shoes.
@@jamesphillips4836 That was legitimately a beautiful story.
Amazing similarities between these two men. Both came from humble origins to rise to the very top of their fields. Both were actors! Both survived assassination attempts and both worked diligently to bring peace to the world. Sadly, both also suffered from long illnesses before their passing -- Pope John Paul with parkinson's disease and Pres. Reagan with alzheimer's.
Both hated the evil of communism
@@ripsaa2693 if you only knew the truth. Look into what this guy dude before he became the pope.
@@JavierGarcia-pc9io What problem You have? Some left washed Brain?
Both did the hard work of peace.
@@JavierGarcia-pc9io So let us know. What's your point? Are you surprised by his human failings? Or are you referring to the glory of his cooperation with Christ? The truth will set us all free!

We need him too. That's for sure.
Thanks be to God. God Bless American all.

It becomes more and more obvious how much we miss them, and what a great blessing that we've had them.
“The universality of salvation means that it is granted not only to those who explicitly believe in Christ and have entered the Church.”
- John Paul II, Redemptoris Missio, Dec. 7, 1990
“They should consider the testimony of Christ Himself that ‘those who are not with Christ are against Him’ and that they disperse unhappily who do not gather with Him. Therefore, ‘without a doubt, they will perish forever, unless they hold the Catholic faith whole and inviolate.”
- Pope Gregory XVI, Mirari Vos, Aug. 15, 1832
@@John-jf8lw It is your incorrect interpretation... There are several citations and stories in the New Testament which confirm openess and universality of the God love and mercy with man...the last and strongest is the repentant and begging criminal on the cross...
@@gero8412 “Yours is a proud and sturdy people, which, in meeting great cultures and neighboring powers, has remained true to its personal identity, bearing splendid fruits in art, religion and human living. Your ancestors embraced such overwhelming spiritual worlds as Confucianism and Buddhism, yet made them truly their own, enhanced them, lived them and even transmitted them to others. Wonhyo and Sosan T’bege and Yulgok eloquently express this feat. ”
- John Paul II, address at airport in Korea, May 3, 1984
"Therefore I said to you, that you shall die in your sins. For if you believe not that I am he, you shall die in your sin."
- John 8:24
"He that believeth in the Son, hath life everlasting; but he that believeth not the Son, shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him."
- John 3:36
"Who is a liar, but he who denieth that Jesus is the Christ? This is Antichrist, who denieth the Father, and the Son."
- 1 John 2:22
@@John-jf8lw Lk 14, 21-24 : 21 'The servant returned and reported this to his master. Then the householder, in a rage, said to his servant, "Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in here the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame."
22 "Sir," said the servant, "your orders have been carried out and there is still room."
23 Then the master said to his servant, "Go to the open roads and the hedgerows and press people to come in, to make sure my house is full;
24 because, I tell you, not one of those who were invited shall have a taste of my banquet."
Your view is limited only to words...but the Spirit is decisive.
JPII fundamentally believed that Jesus is the Christ. And like Christ, he was looking for a way to ap-proach everyone. Part of his spiritual testament is "Believe and trust to Christ!" You suspect him of lies and error for no reason and unfairly.
@@gero8412 “The invitation to take part in the Prayer for Peace in Assisi is a great honour for me and it is an honour for all the followers of Avelkete Vodou whose high priest I am.”
“As a leader of the traditional Vodou religion, I believe that peace is not possible as long as there are rifts, divisions and antagonisms between people.”
- John Paul II, Day of Prayer for Peace in the World, Jan. 24, 2002
“On our first night in Haiti, Abujo had arranged for us to film a voodoo ceremony. … By the time the voodoo ceremony started, the temperature in that room had to be at least 120 degrees. Then I saw the human skulls and the full skeleton. The ceremony began, and it was the most intense experience I’d ever had in my life. The heat, the music, the changing, the stench of decaying flesh - it was otherworldly. People got up and drank some kind of potion, and all of a sudden, their eyes rolled back in their head, they broke into some weird ecstatic dance, and then they fell down in a trance.”
- David Blaine, Mysterious Stranger
"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, they shall have their portion in the pool burning with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."
- Apocalypse 21:8
"Nor charmer, nor any one that consulteth pythonic spirits, or fortune tellers, or that seeketh the truth from the dead."
- Deuteronomy 18:11
"JP II fundamentally believed that Jesus is the Christ ..."
“For to read the Bible as Judaism does not necessarily involves an implicit acceptance of all its presuppositions, that is, the full acceptance of what Judaism is, in particular, the authority of its writings and rabbinic traditions, which exclude faith in Jesus as Messiah and Son of God.”
“As regards the first question, the situation is different, for Christians can and ought to admit that the Jewish reading of the Bible is a possible one, in continuity with the Jewish Sacred Scriptures from the Second Temple period, a reading analogous to the Christian reading which developed in parallel fashion. Both readings are bound up with the vision of their respective faiths, of which the readings are the result and expression. Consequently, both are irreducible.”
- John Paul II, The Jewish People and Their Sacred Scriptures in the Christian Bible, Section II, A, No. 7, 2001
"Maimonides, in his Mishneh Torah, describes Jesus as the failed messiah foreseen by the prophet Daniel. Rather than redeeming Israel, Maimonides writes, Jesus caused Jews to be killed and exiled, changed the Torah and led the world to worship a false God."

“Particularly noteworthy was the prayer meeting at the sanctuary of Our Lady of Mercy at Lake Togo where, for the first time, I also prayed with a group of Animists.”
- John Paul II, Aug. 8, 1985
“For which reason, conventions, meetings and addresses are frequently arranged by these persons, at which a large number of listeners are present, and at which all without distinction are invited to join in the discussion, both infidels of every kind and Christians, even those who have unhappily fallen away from Christ or who with obstinacy and pertinacity deny His divine nature and mission. Certainly such attempts can nowise be approved by Catholics, founded as they are on that false opinion which considers all religions to be more or less good and praiseworthy since they all in different ways manifest and signify that sense which is inborn in us all and by which we are led to the obedient acknowledgement of His rule. Not only are those who hold this opinion in error and deceived, but also in distorting the idea of true religion, they reject it and little by little, turn aside to naturalism and atheism, as it is called; from which it clearly follows that one who supports those who hold these theories and attempts to realize them, is altogether abandoning the divinely revealed religion.”

The Pope is preparing to board the plane, when he hears that PRESIDENT RONALD REAGAN is on the same flight. "This is exciting," thinks the Pope. "Perhaps I'll be able to see him in person." To his surprise, REAGAN sits down in the seat next to him. Shortly after take-off, REAGAN begins a crossword puzzle. Almost immediately, REAGAN turns to The Pope and says, "Excuse me, but do you know a four letter word referring to a woman that ends in ‘-unt’?’" One word comes to his mind. "My goodness," thinks The Pope, "I can't tell President REAGAN that. There must be another word." The Pope thinks for a while, and then it hits him. Turning to REAGAN, The Pope says, "I think the word you're looking for is ‘aunt.’" "Of course," says REAGAN. "Do you have an eraser?"

“Islam is a religion. Christianity is a religion. Islam has become a culture. Christianity also has become a culture … I thank your university, the biggest center of Islamic culture. I thank those who are developing Islamic culture …”
- John Paul II, message to “Grand Sheikh Mohammed,” Feb. 24, 2000
"O People of the Book! Do not go to extremes regarding your faith; say nothing about Allah except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, was no more than a messenger of Allah and the fulfilment of His Word through Mary and a spirit created by a command from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers and do not say, 'Trinity.' Stop!-for your own good. Allah is only One God. Glory be to Him! He is far above having a son! To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And Allah is sufficient as a Trustee of Affairs."

“Other religions constitute a positive challenge for the Church: They stimulate her both to discover and acknowledge the signs of Christ’s presence and of the working of the Spirit.”
- John Paul II, Redemptoris Missio, Dec. 7, 1990
“Also perverse is that shocking theory that it makes no difference to which religion one belongs, a theory greatly at variance even with reason. By means of this theory, those crafty men remove all distinction between virtue and vice, truth and error, honorable and vile action. They pretend that men can gain eternal salvation by the practice of any religion, as if there could ever be any sharing between justice and iniquity, and collaboration between light and darkness or any agreement between Christ and Belial.”
- Pope Pius IX, Qui Pluribus, Nov. 9, 1846

For the Korean people throughout history have sought, in the great ethical and religious visions of Buddhism and Confucianism, the path to the renewal of self … May I address a particular greeting to the members of the Buddhist tradition as they prepare to celebrate the festivity of the coming of the lord Buddha? May your rejoicing be complete and your joy be fulfilled.”
