    I was gonna say, at first, that I hate how people talk about white people but no, I hate that white people have created these stereotypes for us. And unfortunately like I’m in that box of stereotypes, but like I have black kids and like a black boyfriend so yeah I get a pass. Ok that last sentence was a joke. But seriously, it is about time that there are stereotypes and jokes for white people. I see how other races must feel. It makes me uncomfortable and embarrassed and think like “wow I am NOT like that how dare they judge me based off the color of my skin and what other white people have done! The nerve!” And then I’m like “whoa. We’ve been doing it to Asians and black people and Hispanics and Indians and Arabs and women as a whole for yearsssss”. So yeah we deserve this shit.

    My skin is white, because of that people think that they can speak respectfully to me, but if I then show them my dark skinned mum and tell them I speak pidgin suddenly I'm one of them , reverse racism is just racism, it's not reversed like everyone who is white is a racist and when black people are racist they are just returning the favour, no , just because my skin is lighter than yours doesn't mean I grew up in some peppy, preppy house stop judging people by their skin and start doing something about it, there's campaigns, join one xoxo

    People do not understand the struggle that some white people go through I appear white I am half white half latina I have seen brown people insult people that look white "what's that white girl/boy doing speaking spanish " one of my classmates said, as someone that comes from a biracial family that offends me not all white people are bad and do that. I have been called a white ass and now people say white as an insult and for a part of my life I was ashamed of my pale completion I understand you have encountered people like that and are white but please do not overgeneralize and see people for who they are and not base your grudge on not the race of people you had bad encounters withSorry if you are offended about this but this is something I am passionate about because I see a different perspective about this than most because I am both white and latina and I took a bit of offense

      Its not about racist or not racist its about fetishism. Some white people only like people of color for their color which is what she meant when she said she's been compared to food many times. You're racist if you only date someone because of their color

    I’m always compared to food bc of my pale skin & people will hate on me for being white until I tell them that I’m also armenian then they’ll actually will talk to me with respect. Honestly I can’t stand white people but not all white people are like that it’s really just the stuck up privileged ones. If you’re experiencing this with white people you’re going to experience this with many other ethnicity’s too & maybe this is just happening Bc if the kind of personalities you’re attracted to. Your words are beautiful but remember not everyone is like them so don’t give up on just one race Bc of other assholes in your past & a ton of Stereotypes

    Here are some ideas for the next one:
    Sidewalks are white and streets are black! (Sidewalks are safer, so...)
    When we darken light wood, it’s called a “stain”. (Deep)
    White men discourage blacks from swimming! Must have something to do with transatlantic slave trade boats. (I’m still working on that one)
    You’re welcome “poets”

      also "white men discourage blacks from swimming..." might have a lot to do with a long history of blacks being banned from public beaches as well as community swimming pools for most of this country's history,.... With similar harassment happening sporadically to this day. But no one here seriously expects your intellectually shallow, racist ass to know anything about that....

      Elizabeth Briggs No ones making fun of ur race so u can sit tf down. Shes talking about how white people fetishize people of color BECAUSE of their skin color and comparing them to food bc apparently theyre only good for pleasure and not an actual relationship. Try maturing more and look at things more profoundly before u indorse urself in slam poetry

    • @hazeliscool1508
      @hazeliscool1508 Před 6 lety +1

      thirdpowerful1 try again. I'm not invalidating the fact that people would want a white person just because theyre white, but white people think it's ok to fetishize POC's culture and ethnic backgrounds. It's seen everywhere from music to movies and everywhere, but once a white person gets "fetishized" all hell breaks loose.

      Maximillian Guglielmelli I remember her talking about being groped and forced missed. Those will impact anyone. Also, it is her poem and she is the artist. Her pain may not be the same as yours and that is ok. You don't have to listen to it or poets like her.

      Krystina, she also sounds like a weak woman. Men can handle a lot more. Maybe she should take notes. I have been molested and grabbed SEVERAL times by gay men and at gay bars. Once again horrible, racist poem

    • @123selenda
      @123selenda Před 6 lety +17

      She’s “triggered” because being called a food is dehumanizing.
      The things that women go through on an everyday basis. A woman and a man can be in the same career with the same amount of experience and still get less money for what she does. Women bleed for 7 days and have aching cramps but still get up to go about her day. Women go through the pains of child birth. A pain you will never feel. And you call us weak? The stuff that we have to go through just to be respected and you call us weak.
      When you have carried a baby for nine months and pushed it out of you. Or when you bleed for 7 straight days and have cramps and headaches on top of it. Then we can talk about who’s weak or not.

    • @MG-je5xq
      @MG-je5xq Před 6 lety

      Hahahahahaha! Men built all of these cities/sewers/waste management etc... (I never hear feminists cry about the lack of representation there) Also, do your homework honey, the wage gap is a total myth. Oh, no! Another one! I hope I didn't trigger you calling you honey, your struggle is so hard. Men go and die in war (a job that openly does not hire women yet, once again, no feminists fighting to be in infantry). Women say being compared to food is dehumanizing... Yea, women got it bad

    • @kishdaichi8962
      @kishdaichi8962 Před 6 lety +17

      You really think men can take more than women than you're sadly mistaken. Male masculinity is as fragile as our balls. And clearly you dont see the problem with being dehumanized and compared to food. They didnt see her as a person but an object to partake of as they wanted and discared when they were done. Thats why it was a painful realization
