This documentary film will describe the event from the kitchens of power, the true vitrine of French gastronomy which has been on Unesco's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity since 2010. We will follow the work of the teams of the famous chef Guillaume Gomez, from the conception of the menus to the selection of products with the best French producers as well as the installation of the reception hall. I loved how the baguette drop off went down like a drug deal lol
Haha. Thats spot on. It made me uncomfortable watching that.

Haha ! Yep, It was "cooked" perfectly, the baker saved his legs.
It has to be serious. Food can be used for assassinations
@@fidenemini4413Indeed, the two guys with a tie are from Presidential Security, not master chefs. They clearly are not there to have fun.
What the hell is with the "squeaky toy" music? Who thought that was a good idea in the editing room? Lol😂😂😂
I love it, it's fucking hilarious
I know...that was insanely bizarre and freakish. Ahh, the gold plate, porcelain, and sumptuous room, all highlighted by squeaky toy R&B shit.
Typical British smugness, they certainly can't show anything French without getting pissy.
@@TheZapan99 Mate, that was clearly an American narrator.
squeak squeak
When we compare this video to Secrets of the British Royal Kitchen, there are striking differences. The Elysee chef has control over the menu and makes his side dish decisions at the last minute, based on produce available. In England, however, the Queen personally approves all menus and preparations are rehearsed so that each event works like a master production. None is focused on planning and the other on inspiration. Fascinating.
Not accurate, the French President is calling the shots and has the final decision on what's served.
In England the Chef presents multiple proposed menus to the King/Queen Consort, based on the products available ..the monarch decides amongst the multiple menus presented to her, taking into consideration the visiting dignitaries diet preferences, especially if it's religious dignitary...For Hindus, the monarch might chose a vegetarian dinner, For Muslims, the palace will serve only halal meat...also the monarch will take into consideration, the personal preferences of the visiting dignitary as well

what I like about French people is that they keeping it real regarding foods. the butcher went to the farm to see the animals, feel the love for the animal but then take a look at their legs and say, this is the best meat to be served..
Putera Usman I don't think they do that every day he butchers. This time he was doing it for the Queen of England
@@ReasonAboveEverything Not like this, but there's a confidence of each step to its known supplier, of how he do his job. If some one is known to do good job, he choose good supplier in all the chain of supply.

@@ReasonAboveEverything Best butchers do that quite often. We have a lot of competitions to elect best workers in each field when it comes to food. So usually the guys that win those are really dedicated and make a point to choose themselves the best ingredients by visiting farms/suppliers.

he didn't buy smooth round red tomatoes, but some crazy looking mutants similar to those that grow on my garden too. i like the man.

@Amilouch Jk Nowadays yes, but it wasn't always like that. For decades, we had very red, very round, genetically selected tomatoes that were completely tasteless. It's only fairly recently that we have old style tomatoes back on the markets.

@Sad Sack It’s refreshing to find a brother from a different mother with your world views! 👏👏. Bravo! 👏!! I agree with everything you’ve stated here in your comment. I would add just one thing out of so many more! Why the titanic was torpedoed! There was one gentleman on that ship 🚢 the elites wanted to kill because he was a very powerful man and knew the federal reserve would be a disaster for the American people! The Rottenschilds wanted the it but he didn’t, so everyone on that boat had to perish as they meant nothing to that satanic family as per usual so they sink it, along with our rights to decide our own manifest destinies! The whole ruling class are nothing but psychotic inbred psychopaths yet we do nothing about it because most people vilify the truth as it’s too horrific to accept! Thanks god we had the guillotine ..
Yes it is. Not look like
You want to know something funny? The french President is officially a monarch but not of France. The title of head of state of France comes with the title of Prince of Andora because it is something that carried from the Ancien Régime. Of course the presidents have abandoned any responsabilities that comes with the title but they still officially have it. It is also the only temporarily elected monarch in the world. In France, wine making, baking & cheese making are held in high esteem, as an Englishman making cheese for a French company I am met with surprise & some esteem too.
Brits are no slouches when it comes to cheese-making. I'm thinking of real Cheddar, Double Gloucester, Stilton... But well done on getting plaudits from the French in your profession.
English cheese for the French. Eww. Not the taste cause I bet it tastes great...the concept is what BOTHERS me. England ain't a de frommage pays.

This was a total new revelation for me. I had no idea so much went into a state dinner for France. I love that so much honor is heaped upon the growers/suppliers and the state awards medals which can improve the standing of even a small cottage industry. Well done and /salute from the U.S.

Good food = well-cooked food is one of life's delights. My family's motto: Eating is a necessity, so if we have to feed ourselves and cook, we might as well do it properly. It doesn't need to be highly sophisticated and snobbish like "nouvelle cuisine", there are many complicated and difficult recipes in French cuisine, but there are as many simple and delicious recipes. I love French food but I don't know if it's the best because I also love Vietnamese, Sichuan, and Creole cooking

Do NOT DISRESPECT OUR QUEEN ELIZABETH THE 2ND.
The sheer passion of each supplier impressed me most. The strife for perfection is undaunting, but what had me in stitches was all this pageantry and the orchestra struck, "Yellow Submarine." 🤣
Thanks for looking after our Queen so well! Of course HM spoke fluent French and so that always helps in breaking barriers. I lived in France and appreciate the French passion for fun, which includes eating and drinking and just enjoying life. Some of my favourite memories in this life are from my time in France. After living in France I now have a hard time accepting the English lack of service and our inability to make eating out a special experience. To the French, service is something to be respected...for ultimately everyone serves each other, waiters & waitresses are often mature people who take their job very seriously. France made a huge impact on me....I miss France so much.
I love the effort the narrator puts into pronouncing the french words.
he fail every time but that's ok
@@Jord_God Not all the time ... We can salute the effort he made and then when we see how we, as French, speak English ... hmm
@@Jord_God No he doesn't. There is one time he failed because he said "Isigny-sur-Mer" (Isigny-by-the-Sea) instead of "Isigny-Sainte-Mère" (Isigny-Holy-Mother), but that's an understandable mistake as they are pronounced almost the same.
It angers me that the United States won’t allow non pasteurized fine French cheese, but will allow GMO’s, artificial colors & flavorings, cloned meat & Lord knows what else..

There is no such item as "cloned meat" in the U.S.A. But I agree with you on the rest.

In US, the food in hands of big corporation, in French in hands of small business, that why they have quality of food in market. They strive for perfection, respect the consumer. Small business feed the people, so all win.
Such sophisticated pallets. The French are true lovers of food. They also have the best accents in Europe. Incidentally, its not the " Queen of England " she was the Queen of the United kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland ". Her mother was Scottish, her ancestors were Scottish and Welsh ( Tudors) and a few Germans...
Almost entirely Germans, as is true of almost all European royals before 1945 or so.
Her Mother wasn't Scottish.
Elizabeth Bowes Lyon was born in, England, at a place in Hertfordshire, north of London.
And Yes, Elizabeth was the Queen of England!
Scotland never had a Queen Elizabeth in the past, so how could it have a Liz Two??
Just as Charles III, is King of England.
He is not the King of Scots.
None He or his mother took the Scottish Coronation Oath.
Therefore they were not properly legitimate Scottish Monarchs, regardless of the English propaganda!

England is concerned enough about security that they sent one of the Kingsman a week early to supervise the baguette deal.

It's good to be the king/queen... Only the best, paid for by others.
@Saki Maro Why does any country pay for anything they can't use? It's a part of national identity. Constitutional monarchy has been Englands defining characteristic for so many years, it's hard to picture them without it. And it plays a huge role in how England is viewed by the world. Most agree that while british government is a shitshow atm, the royal house has class and dignity, and most of its members are well loved. Like the Queen, princes William and Harry and the late Diana.
I don't even truly know what the royals / nobles do nowadays.
And apparently not all the best of best ingredients is used since some are cut off because of prices and all. I don't know... It feels like such a cheapskate... I mean... But again, maybe it's just us peasant... we don't know the world of those high class human... lol
But really, they want the best ingredients with lowest price???
Geez, I wonder who will have to close those gaps because of them. *sarcasm...the salt is coming*
